They did a fine job in Halo 1 and Halo 3. No need for anymore.

it doese'nt look nextgen , looks good but not nextgen
If by next-gen you mean crappy, dark and colorless, I agree. It doesnt look next-gen at all.

Yes, lets have the same crap done again and again. Heck, they should do it in every single Bungie game they create. [/sarcasm]

No thanks. On CE it was nice, Halo 3... meh its ok. But enough is enough. I wouldn't mind to have a small driving mission or such mid game but another ending, no.

Halo CE was well excuted. Halo 3...was okay not the best. I would rather have some awesome mission at the end

Give me an epic survival mission where you have to defend something for over 10+ minutes against an overwhelming covenant force with Banshees, Ghosts, Wraiths and a ton of troops coming down on dropships.

I think they've done a good job with the driving levels at the end and think if they did another it would just be better. so yeah, i say go for it

*bleep bloop*

Achievement Unlocked: A waste of a human being.

Waste your time on a CoD game and reach a high prestige (10th or 15th).

I'd rather have an epic boss battle...my opinion

blarg, bow chicka wow wow, boomshakalaka,

not as a final level, maybe a convoy, (think warthogs at a slow pace surrounding scorpions as an escort) actuall i think it could work.

  • 10.24.2009 2:54 AM PDT

I'd prefer Reach not have any vehicle sections, but I know that its an important part of Halo games so there will always be a few. I'd rather not have any vehicle escape missions at all in the game though if it can be avoided...which it easily can.

blarg, bow chicka wow wow, boomshakalaka,

i just think reach needs urban style combat. i know halo's game play isnt tailored for that style combat, but if you can remember the halo wars trailer, there was a mini clip of the battle of harvest i think it was, where there was destroyed buildings everywhere, but on a huge scale (around 4 square kilometres). (think ghost town without the wildlife.) give the game a real gritty feel to it.

Complaining about doing the same crap over and over again? Like running in a line and killing the same eight or so enemy types for five games now isnt doing just that.

By the power of truth, I, while living, have conquered the universe.

I'd enjoy a Warthog Run, I love all of them (but ODST's is a bit too linear).

Here's my idea for how one should be:

The Covenant are about to Glass Reach, you have a countdown timer similar to Halo CE. There's you and a convoy of other UNSC troops, your Warthog s all Spartans whilst you help evac civilians and other forces.

You see the whole planet begin to fall and burn, buildings are obliterated before you and you see hundreds of Assault Carriers gathering above, charging their Cleansing Rays.

You head over massive bridges (like the ones in New Mombasa) and massive open landscape, until you're knocked out of your vehicle by a certain boss.
You proceed to fight whilst the others carry on, the boss could possibly be a certain type of Elite or Brute.

Once the boss is defeated, you continue on to the evac craft. You're about to escape when the Glassing beams suddenly fire, hundreds begin to die but you manage to make it on board at the cost of your Spartan comrades who sacrifice themselves to get you out.

There's just a little idea, I could elaborate on it and I may do later. But there's the basics of my idea.

It isn't overdone, people just don't enjoy the Warthog Runs as much as they did in Halo CE. Prompting them to say it is overdone.

ODST didn't feel like the Halo CE's and Halo 3's though, there was no sense of urgency and I only ever felt like trying to get to the end. The most exciting part was when the Assault Carrier looms over the city and fires its Cleansing Beam.

I think that there is going to have to be a vehicle escape last level because if Reach gets glassed and is being destroyed your not really going to stay and fight unless you are defending an LZ.It should be a getaway level where you have to get to the pickup zone before they leave without you.

Like in Halo: The Flood?

Keep the red flag flying high
Coz Man United will never die!

I would maybe like a sniping mission where you have one bullet left and have to kill an enemy, if you don't you attract attention and get killed.

  • 10.24.2009 5:40 AM PDT

add a horn that says "!%*@ BILL O' REILLY" in Austin Powers' voice, and
I like how if anyone ever says a nice thing about Bungie people think all they want is Recon, and if someone says something bad about Bungie people join with them. And then after they get done bagging on Bungie, they go play the game that Bungie made

I want a different vehicle. Perhaps a banshee, pelican (get the other troops to safety), hornet or any other flying vehicle.

Just make it good.

u pilotin a badass halcyon class cruiser (BIG MASSIVE SHIP FULL OF PEOPLE) the pillar of autumn through the covenant blockade and u can like shoot the missiles and watch the covenant ships go boom like how a phantom would explode lol.

Nice. I like the idea of escorting what civilians you can. But i think it should be a little less...happy? Perhaps the spartan who you have played as through the whole game. (Unless your not a sparan or your the Chief), should sacrafice his or herself, to allow the civilians to get away.
The squad could escort the civilians to an evac zone where pelicans are taking off to get away. And set up like a defence while the civilians are evacuated. Hold out for like just over 6 minutes or whatever. Like on CE at the end. 7 minuts was'nt it? You then begin to fall back into a compund area towards your pelican ( The last one) When a group of three phantoms appear and drop off enemy troops, they open fire on your pelican and it bails out but the phantoms chase it down. You hear the pelican calmly telling you he's going down then static. Surrounded by enemy troops your squad falls back further towards a couple of maybe new vehicles? Or maybe even like air vehicles. Faster then hornets though. Anyway. You would then get into the vehicles and escape and try and make it to another evac zone. You are then ambushed and the vehicle you are on is destroyed. Your character is sent flying and your fellow sparatn/ Squadmate is killed. The others are heard over the radio saying theyll come back for you. Your character persuades them to carry on. He/she fights off the enemy who ambushed you.
The final cutscene would then be your character facing a glassing beam or something? Then like at the end of halo 3. We would perhaps see a tribute to them. Especially if they were a spartan.

Of course it does. Every halo game has to have a good driving level. It is written into stone.
