Well said.

BUT Halo didn't exist back in Reach, so it would not be in the Halo universe.

The Halo structures were created by the Forerunners. They existed looooooooooong before the events on Reach.

And what do you suggest they call it?

Peace through superior firepower.

How do you know there isn't a Halo? It's a prequel... they can take place before the defining event of the series.

Halo: The Fall of Reach was published before the game was released. Back then, no one knew the purpose of the rings, yet, the novel had "Halo" on it's title.

That's the name of the franchise, with or without the rings.

So the Halo rings didn't exist like 5 days before Halo CE?

Cool.

Most game's titles aren't even nearly so relevant as Halo's.

It's not the game, it's the franchise.

No, No-one even knew that their was rings. Thus making me belive how Bungie just could have named it

"Reach"

Reach? Nahhh, that wouldn't work.

*Silloin kun näyttää siltä että ei ole mitään hätää niin tulee hälytyskellojen soida
*Neuvostoliiton hajoaminen oli vain showta
*Saksa on löytänyt uuden tavan vallata Eurooppa ilman yhtäkään panssarivaunua

Giving the name of title as Halo will dramatically increase sales.

Halo Wars takes place 21 years before the fall of Reach, and yet it has Halo as title without Bungie even making it, let alone having Halo rings.

Nailed it on the first reply.
Good job.

If you want to talk or even ask a simple question to friendly reasonable without being flamed i suggest going to Halocharts. There they will not flame or harass you, they will not shoot down simple questions or make fun of you cause of your rank. something you dont often find on bungie's forums

LOL thats like coke making cherry coke called cherry. The halo's are the main premise of the story and the only reason why the humans get to survive

  • 10.24.2009 8:57 PM PDT

get out of here stalker

Because Halo was the original game's name, which set up the universe for other games to be named after.

AAAALRIGHTY FELLAS

I can't remember who it was, but someone at the beginning of all the Halo games suggested they called it "Halo". The name eventually stuck or something. So yeah. And it's also set in the Halo Universe so... Yeah.

Go make your own video game, and call it whatever you want. Until then, don't complain about Bungie's games' names.

The Halo rings are the entire reason for the Covenant invasion of Reach. Their religious leaders have declaired humans an enemy, so they invade reach. Just because we don't fully understand their motives, doesn't mean they don't exist.
