One of the things that bugs me in Halo 3 (Multiplayer especially) is that you never know how much health that you have left after a fight.

This can lead to some "OMGWTFHOWDIDHEKILLMEBBQ" moments while playing multiplayer, because what may seem like an even fight actually isn't because you might have sustained damage in a previous fight.

What I propose is simply a visual representation of how much health (not shields) that we have. I'm not necessarily asking for Health Packs to return, but I do want to know how much health I have left before I go jumping in to a battle.

Example of what I mean, but Bungie can obviously implement it better.

Yes there is. Otherwise you'd just die as soon as your shields dropped.

Your health in Halo 3 is just invisible to the player.

Yeah, it would be a nice touch, though I didn't really mind.

in halo 3 the health regenerates by the time your shields do, so it doesnt matter. but rech will have non regenerating health (you have the halo 1 armour) so there will be a health bar like in halo 1

k, i luv how in halo 3 there is no health bar, it means every fight is evenly matched and is based more on skill, assuming they have same weapons, rather then how many figths the person has been in before. halo 3 health system i think is perfect

''Hell is other people.''

Spartans have health..it's called the shield bar.

Here’s what Luke had to say about the differences in treatment between the Spartans and Elites in Reach:

“Instead of piece-by-piece customization like the Spartans, Elite customization is a full model swap with models selected from the various Elite classes appearing throughout the Campaign. There are all kinds of reasons for this, not the least of which is our continued emphasis on the Spartan as your identity in Reach.”

I wouldn't mind the screen going red.

RedX, once the shields are gone, how do you survive?

I wouldn't either. But in reach, with Mark V armor, I won't mind the H: CE health either.

As long as I can see it.

Marine Corps.
Semper Fi.

My problems [with Reach] are basically just full parties, mlg, and people who go out of their way not to get killed.

Games with visual health tend to be slower than those without. If there is visual health, I would hope there are as many medpacks around just like in ODST... they were everywhere.
