Like in the other Halo games, this game will most likely have a tutorial at the very beginning, like look inversion. Since the children sent to Reach were told what was happening and immediately were sent into training, you might have to do the look inversion there, and while you are doing that, John could be just chilling there also all confused and everything. Then the game could flash-forward to where the day Reach was attacked or something.

Or to keep things going with John's face being a mystery, the game could start out with the Spartan IIs getting their first taste of MJOLNIR armor just putting on the suit and you look over at John and see him just then putting on the helmet. Then the game would flash-forward to the day of the attack.

What I'm trying to ask is where the most appropriate time you think would John's face should be, or should the face be saved until the last game of the series?

I think Pesty is a pretty gooooooooood writer, he munches spoons and doesn't afraid of anything!

Stop being ignorant. MC is basically meant to be a cyborg. Show his face, you make him human and not as exciting. His face is his helmet, end of story.

Observation: This meat bag dares oppose you, Master. Shall I grind him up in a trash compactor, or attempt a peaceful resolution? PS: Master, I'd certainly enjoy disposing of the unholy...

I think it would be 7ruly exquisite if John's face would be shown AT LEAST once, however I feel the meat bag is right and that it would ruin the story line. Unfortunate, master. ~Cm

Um... I like Halo? I don't really know what to say. I'm a student at the moment, I hope to become a criminal profiler, and I enjoy pretty much everything as long as it's good.

Bull-blam!--blam!-! They gave him a voice and a background, that's human enough for me.

No Group Invites.
Worst idea ever...http://www.bungie.net/Forums/posts.aspx?postID=8664824

Bungie may show a childhood face, but I highly doubt they'll ever show his adult face. They are trying to keep the illusion that YOU are the Master Chief. That's what they've said many times. If we don't know what he looks like, it keeps the illusion that we are the person behind the mask. I think it's dumb personally but I'm sure some people like it.

Yeah I guess it would ruin the game if they show his face. They should save it until the last game of the series (which so far would take until the year 2136 because of how much money Bungie is making from the frachise)

But should the game at least have his childhood face in it? They already described it in the Halo: Fall of Reach, they might as well put his face in the game.

get out of here stalker

This is a very logical theory on what he might look like.

Wow I never though of it that way. That's smart, dude, but if they want us to feel as if we are the legend behind the mask, then they would not have named the hero, John. Instead, they might have a name option for campaign.. then again there would be no voice, just subtitles at the bottom of the screen like Nintendo's The Legend of Zelda. But that part of the game is dumb so I agree with you. Yeah like I said, nice theory.

I'm pretty sure Master Chief isn't a cat.
