Wherever you roam
so far from home
you'll be safe from peril
life threatening and terrible
if you avoid David Powel
and keep track of your towel.

It's pretty cheap, wouldn't be balanced in MP and, thinking logically, doesn't really make much sense to have as a practical weapon in the future. I weapon that causes convulsions through electrical impulses makes much more sense.
Creative, but not my kind of thing.
There are many things that cold can do that electroshock cannot.
For example, Mjolnir armor is shielded against electromagnetic pulses so it would only disrupt the armor's force field temporarily. Very low temperatures on the other hand would make the armor brittle and highly prone to fracture when subject to any significant force. This applies to every material by the way, therefore a cryo grenade can effectively disable any device regardless of whether or not it is electronic in nature (common non-electronic devices include guns, small vehicles, and explosives).
Cold can also combat fires, very useful when your enemy's primary munition is high temperature plasma.
Plus it's not like the only way to supercool something is to dump a bunch of really cold stuff on it. Endothermic reactions draw energy from their environment in the form of heat.
