My problems [with Reach] are basically just full parties, mlg, and people who go out of their way not to get killed.

More blood would be nice. Especially since evidence points to the possibility of a combat knife. The knife effects in the ODST cutscene were not great. I realize that ODST was made off of the Halo 3 engine and had a one year time limit, so revolutionary stuff is not expected.

But yes, I hope there is more gore in Reach.

Yah I mean it is 500+ years in the future i want a grenade to be 5 times bigger than today's grenade explosions. Or do some awesome gravity thing where it turns the inside of their body to the out. =)

Well....the world doesn't run like Gears of war...(you can't smash someone's head to bits by smashing them with your boot)

  • 10.26.2009 5:29 PM PDT

There's plenty of blood, but you don't recognize the neon blue stuff on the ground as blood. Were not talking Gears of War here.

"Science without religion is lame. Religion without science is blind." - Albert Einstien

If you were wearing as much armor as a Marine in Halo is, and got hit by a grenade. You're body parts probably wouldn't fly off very easily since the armor would hold you together pretty well. Most if not all blood from gunshot wounds in Halo will bleed under the armor plating, not all over the place. But besides that, Halo isn't about realism to that degree. If you want that kind of stuff, play Gears or a thriller game.

This is Halo. Not Time Splitters (absolute worst shooter game I have ever played).

If you treat matchmaking like a life and death situation, you're going to run into a few problems no matter how good you are. First of all (forgive the pun) you'll be dead a lot

i think that would be an interesting thing for bungie to think about, a bloodier halo for the more mature people and a toggle for a normal halo for the younger audience, all in all, i think it's a pretty good idea, and i think bungie should really consider it

When I throw a grenade, for once I want to see a WAYY bloodier Halo.I want to see peoples body parts fly out.Just to make the game just a bit more entertaining.

Go play Gears of War or Fallout 3.

If Bungie wanted to make their game gory and violent they could have done it in the three previous games. Note that flood fall apart when you shoot them, yet they did not use that same feature on the rest of the normal enemies or the spartans in multiplayers.

Blood and Gore isn't Halo. To be frank, blood and gore is just stupid.

Wherever you roam
so far from home
you'll be safe from peril
life threatening and terrible
if you avoid David Powel
and keep track of your towel.

Gibs aren't exactly realistic either.

Aside from the indestructibility of corpses until they disappear to free up memory and the fact that said corpses don't bleed persistently, Halo is pretty realistic when it comes to the amount of blood and gore.

If you think world at war is 80% crap well.. your brain is only functioning at 80% because it is indeed 100% crap

This Is Halo, Not Gears

When you think about it, not even Gears of War has that much blood for the features it has. If you took a chainsaw and sawed someone down the middle from the neck down... I do not think you people understand how much blood there would be.

Way more than the blood that splatters on your screen. Way more...

  • 10.26.2009 5:38 PM PDT

YOU'RE STILL ALIVE?!?

More Blood?

  • 10.26.2009 5:42 PM PDT

Unrealistic? Halo, even though sci fi it is probably one of the most realistic games around. And you wnat to get technical. The armor suits of the spartans are air tight, so how is blood going to leek out?

I would like to see more blood though.

That's my thoughts exactly. "It's fine how it is." I don't need to see the Spartan's body rip in two when I run them over with a mongoose. And I don't WANT to.
