A real test of a man is if he is willing to scrape a sharpened razor up and down his junk just to please a woman.

*Stick Elite with plasma grenade* RAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA- *boom*

That always made me smile.

Good question!

I suspect that they'll talk like they did in the later games. I believe this just because it adds more depth to the game play and also allows for more interactions.

I know the "reason" we can understand the elites in the later games per cannon was the development of new translations software, however I think that cannon will take a back seat to gamer experience.

If it is, it makes Reach a must buy!

Roses are RED, violets are BLUE
all my BASES are belong to YOU!

They say it all the time in halo 3 with iwhbyd on, which i loved. i dont think wort wort wort will ever leave the elites vocab

There was no given canonical (there's only one -blam!- 'n' by the way!) reason. Fans just assumed (incorrectly, The Fall of Reach explicitly states that the UNSC had fully functional translators by at most 2535) that there was new translation software.

Posting on bungie.net should require that the user has had to have read a chapter book all the way through.

Maybe!

"wort wort wort" is actually "go go go" backwards. I didn't believe it at first, but here is the video.

I hunt for the Prophet of Contentment, the San 'Shyumm that murdered my son, and stole his birthright, his Energy Sword. They call our species Heretics. They claim to all that our tongues sting, our words a vile poison that feeds on the unworthy. I have seen the true face of Heresy. The head of a gallant warrior lay on the ground. His neck scorched and blistered, scarred by his own blade. I shall retrieve the weapon, and drive it through that bastard's heart! Punishment for his sins is nigh.

You might not know this but on rare occasions they actually say Wort Wort Wort in Halo 2 and 3 as well.

Agreed

I liked how they would try to be stealthy by turning invisible but have bright blue glowing swords
