Subject: mongooses in reach

Posted by: Tucker 051
It most likely will be in Reach. I see no reason why it shouldn't be. Reach takes place 7 months before the end of Halo CE. I'm pretty sure they'll have the Mongoose.

7 months?
You mean 7 days right?
..
the battle of reach was only hours long, with the Pillar of Autumn escaping on a random vector.
the evens of Halo:CE only lasted 24hrs at most, and the battle of earth only took place weeks after that.

The mongoose, splazer, and BR (BR is in the book Contact Harvest) were ready for special forces at this time, but weren't used in Halo:CE due to the CQ mission the Pillar was meant to go on.

They wanted to put the Mongoose in Halo CE you know. Couldn't, the physics of the game didn't work out, whenever the mongoose tried to go around corners it would flip because it was moving too fast.

They wanted to put the Mongoose in Halo 2 you know.
Couldn't, they ran out of time what with the implementation of a matchmaking system, many new game mechanics and such.

The intent was to have the mongoose in the game from the beginning. And there is no reason why it won't be on Reach.

Unless anyone is seriously bold enough to suggest that humanity didn't have any ATVs before Halo 3 and had only invented them in the months between Halo 2 and Halo 3.

Mongooses have proven to be one of the coolest vehicles in the game. People use them to race, splatter, do aerial combat tricks, and it is a vital part of most successful BTB capture the flag strategies.

It will definitely be in Reach.

Well. If you really look at it from a cannon aspect. Halo:First Strike (with took place days before Halo 2) Toook place less then a week after Halo:Reach. And since Halo 3 only took place a while after Halo 2. I think that there's short enough a gap for a few mongooses. What sucks is they'll probably have less armour or something to make it be a prototype. Another thing, is that if this were true, it'd also make room for the BR which I personally would kill myself if there was a BR in Reach. That or never play alo again.

Wherever you roam
so far from home
you'll be safe from peril
life threatening and terrible
if you avoid David Powel
and keep track of your towel.

Look to this timeline. The Battle of Reach is on August 30th so you can skip down to that.

Because Muslims surgically implant organic bombs in their testicles, which in turn will be injected into women during sex, which will grow into BABY BOMBS!
