I have been seeing these drop pod spawn ideas and I think they would be rather intresting but it would be very unbalenced.
. However, if the HEV is treated as a vehicle, these situations could be upheld as the physics would handle such a thing. How about this for interesting: this dynamic only happens at the beginning of a round. The team grabs weapons then hot drops into the combat zone, controlling where their pods land. The the enemies leap from their pods (maybe the Covenant pods seen in Floodgate? Different teams = different pods??) and the battle begins. Normal spawning happens after that.Yes I like this idea and I am showing it out here but I have a few problems.
Well the idea of the armory is good but it could be op.So this is where Halo:Reach exp points come in.Lets say for every kill you get you get 5 exp and all those points stockpile.*But you only get exp for ranked matches*
At the begging of each game you get to spend exp points on guns and power ups.*This will only be once a game so you have 30 seconds*Here are some exp point ideas on how much the weapons would cost
battle rifle=25 exp
assault rifle=0 exp
rocket launcher=100 exp
carbine=25exp
plasma rifle=0 exp
fuel rod=75exp
spiker=10 exp
plasma pistol=5 exp
energy sword=45 exp
overshield=120 exp
invisibility=110 exp
Thats all I have so far.........Now getting back on topic...........After the armory players have 15 seconds to get in there pods because if you look out the window you see the opposing team charging their mac blast and you both fire at the same time and both ships blow up while you are rocketing down in a drop pod.
So now you are on the ground with your weapons and power ups and if you look in the sky as an added treat you get a space battle between your team the and the enemy team and who ever wins the space battle *random* will be given a bonus of 5 exp a kill.
