Subject: Trailer Question

Oh, Death was never enemy of ours!
We laughed, knowing better men would come,
And greater wars: when each proud fighter brags
He wars on Death, for lives: not men, for flags.

How many threads about this have there been?

Too many.

Haha, new topics are very rare. The repetitive nature of this forum is getting really old. I'm ready for new info. We need something fresh to discuss.

I hunt for the Prophet of Contentment, the San 'Shyumm that murdered my son, and stole his birthright, his Energy Sword. They call our species Heretics. They claim to all that our tongues sting, our words a vile poison that feeds on the unworthy. I have seen the true face of Heresy. The head of a gallant warrior lay on the ground. His neck scorched and blistered, scarred by his own blade. I shall retrieve the weapon, and drive it through that bastard's heart! Punishment for his sins is nigh.

Well, it looks like Reach at the end of the Legendary ending. You can tell by the slight glimpse of the lights on the planet. Look pretty similar to me in both trailers. I guess the question is if he really did go back in time or not.

And it doesn't have to be the H3 sequel, Bungie could have just done an ending that described their next BIG game.
The Legendary Planet is not Reach. Reach has a yellow sun, the Legendary planet has a blue sun. The lights are not evidence, they are just lights. Ever seen what a part of the earth looks like when facing away from the sun? Just like Reach or the Legendary planet. Bungie would not have the chief travel back in time. It happened once in first Strike, but that was a time anomaly caused by Forerunner Tech. Time travel now would be ridiculous and cause a paradox.

The ending of Halo 3 was just a way to bring the game full circle. The Chief starts in a cryo-pod, and ends in a cryo-pod. Microsoft and 343 Industries might expand from there in the future, but Bungie has no intention of making any more Halo games for the 360.

That was most likely to symbolize all a Spartan is, they are not people with lives. They cannot show feeling, at least not to non-Spartans, and Master Chief has no Spartans. He is what he is, a tool in the war, a weapon. He began his mission in Halo CE, and ended his mission in Halo 3, and so he sleeps until he is needed again.

And in speaking to Cortana at the end, he abolishes all feeling she thought he had for her. He didn't come back for her, he came back to complete his mission.

FYI, his mission began several years before CE. I also disagree with your statement about Chief having no emotions. He cares about humanity, his fellow Spartans, Dr. Halsey, and especially Cortana. If you have read H:TFoR, MC had a very hard time with leaving Sam.

My man, that could be any destroyed frigate. Especially when there are space battle happening all around Reach.
