I make a legitimate thread on the most logical choice for the next Bond actor, and you take that away from me by creating a parody thread indirectly connecting my thread to yours.

I hope your kids have bad influences and develop bad personalities. I wish this with all my heart.

Alright, now, from what I've noticed, one of the biggest problems I run into while playing Halo 3 custom games is communication. If you want to get a large custom game together over XBL, (like infection) you're going to need a lot of people.

And guess what? Most of the time, the awesome custom game you want to play needs a quick explanation. For example, in some infection maps, in order to allow the humans to get prepared, the zombies will be stuck in a room or box, with an exit spawning 1-3 minutes in. Sometimes, you need to tell them that they may spawn in said room or box, and need to chill the eff out.

However, in large custom game lobbies, with everybody using a mic at the same time, it can be hard to explain this. Soon, you'll be screaming for everybody to STFU, 2 people will be talking about the sports game, 5 will tell you to just start it, they'll figure it out, and 1 or 2 people with a quiet voice will get shut out and not have a clue.

I propose one simple, easy solution to this problem: Party Leader Text Boxes.

Whoever is the party leader may post messages to get the attention of everyone. Stating a quick message, like a game rule or to tell everyone to STFU so they can say something is as simple as bringing up a keypad and typing.

This is obviously nothing that's never been done before, and implementation for it should be no problem for Bungie's programmers.

Simple, effective, clear. Bring order to custom games. Implement Part Leader Text Boxes.

Or just make it so you can edit the messages that appear at the beginning of a match that tells the gametype.

I kinda doubt "Don't freak out if you spawn as a zombie in an empty room, the door will open soon," or "The Oddball carrier does no damage" are within the character limit.

this is actually an AMAZING idea. no more "HEY EVERYBIDY SHUT UP!" and no more annoying singing blocking out your voice. this actually has its uses.
