Subject: should there be mountable turrets on destroyed vehicles?

I was playing halo 3 on The Arc and i noticed a warthog that was destroyed but the turret was still usable.

I was thinking that bungie should enable that to happen to a fraction vehicles are destroyed. Similar to real life in the military when a vehicle is destroyed the machine guns could still be used even when the vehicle couldnt be. The machine gun or plasma cannon could still be used for a limited amount of ammunition or for plasma cannons, over heating.

Heres how it works.

1-The vehicle is destroyed most or all the vehicles crew die.

2-The chances of the turret still being usable would be around 1/5 depending on the vehicle type.

3-If another player uses the machine gun/plasma cannon the amunition/charges would be depleated just like the normal ground turrets after being broken off.

4- If the turret inst used with a certain time or the vehicle takes further damage the vehicle would be completely disabled.

5-The after time period is up the smoking or flaming vehicle would explode making the idea of using a damage vehicle risky but still giving benifits to the ones who decide to try it.

*Its similar to the story of Audie Murphy from WW II how he used a destroyed tanks machine gun and held off a hole division of soldiers even with the risk of the tank exploding.

Post whether you think it should be included or not along with anything else you think should be added.

I like cheese more than you
Except Blue Stilton. That stuff is nasty. As is any cheese that contains stuff other than cheese

Well I guess I better put some pants on.

I feel like I'm gonna break this thing!

Would be nice.
Not all that important in the scale of things though, but still quite nice.

it would be pretty usefull in multiplayer or firefight in a rare chance.

WHEN LIFE HANDS YOU: High Fructose Corn Syrup, Citric Acid, Ascorbic Acid, Maltodextrin, Sodium Acid Pyrophosphate, Magnesium Oxide, Calcium Fumarate, Yellow 5, Tocopherol and less than 2% natural flavors...

Make Lemonade!

Teabag twin #1 is here to kick ass and chew gum. And I'm all out of gum.

You'd be extremely vulnerable though and with the added risks of using it, I don't think many people would use it.

whos more vulnerable the machine gunner or the infantry?
i would rather be shooting a machine gun than to be the one fighting one.also the vehicle would have lost mostly of the thing that would explode so it wouldnt go flipping after a frag grenade goes off.

also its not going to explode like a the minut you get on but if it sits there for like 3 minuts until you jump on it ould be risky.

Just like the Energizer Bunny, the Gauss Cannon keeps going, keeps going, keeps going...

if you have any questions about halo i am one of the few people on this site who will gladly help you. Even though this account has been active for only a year, my past accounts go all the way back to 2002.

I dont really like this idea, when you kill a vehicle it dies. you dont want to have to keep tabs on things that may or may not have been killed.

like i said the majority would be destroyed and a guass cannon wouldnt survive. im sure it doesnt power itself and even if it did it would only have like 3 shots left in it.
