Here’s what Luke had to say about the differences in treatment between the Spartans and Elites in Reach:
“Instead of piece-by-piece customization like the Spartans, Elite customization is a full model swap with models selected from the various Elite classes appearing throughout the Campaign. There are all kinds of reasons for this, not the least of which is our continued emphasis on the Spartan as your identity in Reach.”

Hunters in ODST:
Huh. Well, since they couldn't find a legitimate way of making them more difficult, I guess their melee attacks now get area of effect!
Its the same with the Brutes. Invulnerability, immunity to stickies.
You do know they could just give them instant kill aimbot powers? Seems to me long arms and swifter spin attacks are more legitimate than making the games enemies cheap in other ways. They could easily force the player to waste all their ammo and grenades just to kill one hunter. Maybe you would like weaker grenades or less grenades and snipers in the areas where hunters appear? Perhaps Bungie should just find some story technique and strip the player of sandbox possibilities like grenades and snipers before they encounter Hunters. They did have instant kill attacks. And Im talking about how even though their shields don't come anywhere near your player model, you take damage.
Sure, make them faster. Make them do stuff. But let it make sense, in that you are HIT when you are HIT.
And are you kidding?
Elites never needed invincibility or immunity to sticky grenades to be challenging. Bungie has made enemies tough before without cheating for brutes, or what you suggest. You act like there is no way to make an enemy tougher while remaining fair.
