SHOTGUN2FACE

I don't know if this has been brought up, but the thing that annoyed me the most about Halo 3 (other than the terrible, unbalanced multiplayer) is the custom content limit. Why are we limited to only 100 items we can download? And I'm not taking into consideration that while we can 100 items, we can still only have 50 screenshots. Please, for Halo: Reach, get rid of this and let us download however many things we want.

My third montage!

The limit should definitely be higher, maybe not unlimited, but certainly higher. I had to delete so many maps and screen shots and movies recently because I had run out of room. It was tough trying to decide what to keep and what to delete.

If there wasn't a Custom Content limit, then the game would overload, get to laggy, or crash your Xbox.

Well, that gave me a good idea.

When you run out of storage on your X-box, you can send it to your U-Halo room on your B.net profile. It has extended space so if you wanna just redownload it to your xbox, select that option.

How would that happen? It's on your hard drive. I understand it would take a long time to load all of your saves, but I'm willing to risk that. Still, getting laggy or overloading is definitely a little far fetched.

Well, for certain things such as screen shots and clips, those can be saved to your computer leaving room for map variants, game variants, etc.

But I definitely can understand that you can run out of room. I would say unlimited space, because all of this has to be saved somewhere, which is usually your HDD.

Nolan is Nolan.

better yet, let us set our own limit.

This is a good idea, but don't make it unlimited. As someone else has mentioned in this forum, if Halo: Reach's servers are going to be dedicated, then Bungie can make the limit higher. Still though, it couldn't be unlimited. The servers would become so full that everything would lag and crash all the time.

Definitely higher maybe 200 but not unlimited because it would be impossible to find a map in your database.

Why not unlimited? If you can't find a map you want to play, that should be enough initiative to delete them. But for those who have tons of screenshots of clips, we want an unlimited amount.

I say 100 map/gametype limit.
Unlimited screenshots/vids.

And enough with the lag and overloading. Content saved to your HDD won't affect gameplay.

Here’s what Luke had to say about the differences in treatment between the Spartans and Elites in Reach:

“Instead of piece-by-piece customization like the Spartans, Elite customization is a full model swap with models selected from the various Elite classes appearing throughout the Campaign. There are all kinds of reasons for this, not the least of which is our continued emphasis on the Spartan as your identity in Reach.”

I want content limited to the space available on the hard drive.

  • 11.01.2009 12:49 PM PDT

it should be like 250, but there shouldnt be no limit or else it would contribute to lag.

I would like people who think this would create lag or "overloading" to explain how this would create lag at all.

Oh God I agree.

I paid for a 360 Elite. I paid the extra money for the 120GB Hard Drive. I should be able to use my Hard Drive however I please. The content limit is ridiculous. I'll be the person who decides how many maps I have saved on my Hard Drive. Thankyouverymuch.

So then Bungie should implement a Search Bar.

The Halo 3 Martyrdom

Yeah, how does content saved on YOUR HARD DRIVE affect online gameplay? Some people have all 800 songs on Rock Band 2 and it doesn't affect their gameplay at all.

While I doubt the 360 would crash from too many items, your b-net idea is interesting. It would have to be for Bungie Pro subscribers though. I have all 24 slots filled up and not even CLOSE to running out of free space (on the file share).
