No matter how superhuman you are, if you wrench a weapon out of it's holstered position, you're going to wreck it sooner or later. I think the swap time is SHORT compared to other games, and the reload speed is even longer. You shouldn't need to swap weapons or reload in a short firefight, and you should have backup or cover in a prolonged one.
Swap time may be short compared to OTHER games but this is Halo. Halo is known for being fast paced so this in no right is a way to justify what is. Also we dont need to worry about being realisitc seeing how this game is set in a time hundreds of years before the time we are in now.
Yes, but unless the weapon's made of rubber, it'll still get wrecked with repeated instant grab/use combination. Halo's weapon swap time is right on, in my opinion, and the reload time works for gameplay, but is also pretty fast if you're going by realism. Unless you have your weapons holstered on your chest webbing, you can't pull them out quickly. It's holstered on your back, it takes a second.
