Subject: Halo Reach for PC?

Been playing Halo since CE

I have to agree with lightzHH.

PC gaming is dying but there's still a chance it can be saved by having more media attention showing people the capabilities it has.

Reach on the PC would be awesome if they showed full support for it which many company's have given up on.

I think the main reason that Reach wouldn't make it onto PC is because of Uneducated 7 year old's,
Ive been playing PC games since Commander and Conquer 95 and the first Xbox game i played was Halo 1 when it was first released i was only 9 at the time but i didn't act like the kids I see now.

I think its just this generation of kids that are showing this 'fanboy' -blam!- that they constantly go on about.

Bring Halo reach to the PC it could kill the Xbox fanboyism once and for all.

Wow you kids are real xbox fankids...
When Halo 2 PC shipped it looked poor compared to other pc games.
Any Source Engine Game looks way better then Halo 2 PC.
The reason why both halo:ce and Halo 2 needed better hardware than the one that the xbox has was, because both of them were ported poorly.
The reasons why ms hasn't ported halo 3 for the pc is, that they know that it will sell poorly, because every single halo for pc has been a poor portation. Whether ruined by the fact that halo works better with gamepad or the fact that you need windows vista, halo 2 pc has 60 active players, if you are lucky.
MS will wait until all the halo 3 hype is over, including the odst hype, then they will announce halo 3 pc for '10. It will sell poorly compared to halo 3 on the xbox, but ms will get some money for a cheap portation.
Halo 3's graphics suck compared to games like crysis or farcry 2. CoD 6 runs at 600p on consoles, while it runs at full hd 1080p on the pc.
The 360 is an old console, the hardware sucks compared to any new 300 bucks pc.

I think if Halo reach was on PC it would need to be a simultaneous release because bringing out a port 4 years later the sequel is out and no one gives a -blam!- anymore like COD4 is only just coming out on the wii .

This thread needs to stay alive people have to understand the advantages before putting Fanboyism in front.

Since H3 didn't come out for it. Very unlikely due the fact the main reason was the fact PC's couldnt support H3 graphics and seeing as how HR will be even better. Its a 95% that its a no.

Dude. Pc's can go much further, and they're capability's can go so much further than Xbox, since the ability to easily edit the computer itself. E.g. Graphics card, motherboard, CPU etc...

Most PC's could not handle halo 2's graphics. But now they can so it was made for PC. I am almost 100% sure that when the avarage computer and not just hte ones that hace $5000 sunk into them for hard core PC gamers can handle halo 3, it will come out on PC.
I'm talkin about the average computer. But yeah I guess if it had 12GB ram 1000 GB mem and the latest and best Graphics card and processor. Yeah it would work. but for 5000+ dollars.

You actually no nothing about computers. So just don't speak.
Everything you say is wrong.

Ok, because I'm so annoyed with stupid people, I'm going to explain... :)
--
Xbox only has 512mb RAM, which is fine for what the 360 is used for. But in the eye's of a PC/Desktop Computer, that is minuscule.
Windows XP will hardly, infact, won't run on 512mb RAM.
--
4gb RAM would be enough to run a game like Halo 3 or Reach.
It all depends on things like the graphics card, CPU etc...
Also, when console games are brought over to PC they usually have a graphics jump, which means improved graphics. Just like H2 to PC.
--
A decent PC to run a game like H3 could be purchased from around £300 easily.

The computer I have is an Asus
6 gigs ram
Nvidia Geforce GTX 260M with 1 gig ram dedicated
Intel core 2 duo processor
With Windows 7
And a EAX Advance HD sound card
It was 1500$
Yes I kknow SOOO little about computers. Its purpose is for gaming AND ITS A BASIC PACKAGE. So I know say GTFO and STFU

Sorry, but you're seriously wrong.

RAM barely means -blam!-, the Graphics Card is what matters. You can run WaW easily with 512mb if you have a good g'card.

Look at Halo ce, all everyone did was mod it for the pc. So if Halo Reach was put onto the pc, it would only be modded and would become no more fun.

Sorry to say, but you overpaid for your computer by about a thousand dollars, rofl.
Nobody needs 6 gigs of ram, 4 is sufficient enough for anybody's needs.
And for whoever was talking about XP, my old PC ran XP on 512mb so it def can.
Oh, and to back that up, you bought an Asus with a GeForce 260M? 260M = Mobile = Laptop. That means you bought a laptop for gaming, which makes no sense at all. Big Fail.
I'd add on but I don't feel like flaming. Reach should be released for the PC when it's released for the Xbox IMHO if released for the PC at all.

Right, I didn't expect to see such a heated arguement.
It seems its more than just black or white.
