I think some people would agree with me when I say that I think there should be a feature where you can play with all bots.

Lets face it, your not always going to have the friends you have the most fun with online, and matchmaking just pisses you off because of the hundreds to thousands of little kids who are complete idiots. So why not have the bot feature like Unreal Tournament? It'd be a great way to let off steam, just 15 random Spartans or Elite AI, without all the stupidity of non-cooperative teammates.

Bots would be fun, but I feel that is what Firefight is for.

What? How would that compare to Firefight? In Firefight, your fighting big aliens, small aliens, tanks, pretty much everyone against you who range in size and strength.

I don't think it compares very well.

That sounds like fun, kinda like in gears of war, you can make all bot matches if you dont want to play competetivly, or just want some practice.

What I am saying is that while the game play is not the same, the role is. Don't have enough people for MP, play firefight. I know that playing against Bots is no more entertaining than Firefight or other survival game types are.

Firefight can also be adjusted. You could be an ODST fighting Covenant, ODST fighting insurrectionists, Elite fighting UNSC, Spartan fighting Covenant, etc. Mix and match, whatever you want goes and Firefight is the perfect arena. All Bungie needs to do is take the initiative.

I'd love to be a 10 year old and tell my mom I'm going on an adventure out into the world catching Pokemon, with her full support. Never mind the fact that there are rapists, criminals, and murders out there, or the fact that I may get killed by a Pokemon.

Luckily I have Pikachu.

Firefight makes more sense.

I speak the truth, and truth speaks itself.
The lies disguise what you despise.
Run. Flee and be, what you've always dreamed.
What happens now won't matter later.
What you see will not be, nor what you imagine will not happen.
The end is close, so take your dose.

And the bots on your team won't grenade you when you grab the ghost on longshore.

But Firefight and Bots would be 2 totally different things? In one part, you have the Enemy AI from the Campaign, but when fighting bots, your fighting enemies who will die, respawn, pick up weapons, drive vehicles, man the turret, get the flag, get the flag back, stick that guy and get the point, or maybe just barely get that headshot.

All this without the retardation of lousy teammates.

And honestly, firefight doesn't really give me the thrill I expected it to, what if I wanted to play practice Firefight, where I choose what skulls can be on and if I even WANT skulls, why not just harder AI?

Bots are more retarded than teammates. They just don't care. They'll spam power weapons. They'll camp. They'll always be as far from you as possible, etc. Bots aren't any more reliable than normal people. Less so in fact.

I agree also that its about time they added a bot feature of some kind nothing spectacular but of course not just tacked on it would give more options to custom games if you dont have a whole lotta friends or it could be added to matchmaking if some D-bag quits in a team game then have a bot replace them. then at least you wont be horribly overwhelmed in say big team if half your team quits just because they didn't score the first bomb or flag or whatever

I'd enjoy this and probably would use it. i know my younger brothers would for sure, since they get frustrated being killed so easily online, then they can enjoy the game by feeling that they are awesome, when just fighting bots and get better that way.

I can't wait for the day when A.I will actually be A.I and learn on their own, get better at playing and be able to talk to the players.
