The Stig is dead to me
-Carrick

let's be honest, the flood level in halo CE was fawking scary. the helmet cams assisted that a lot(hint hint). you would be constantly turning around and expecting something to jump out and eat your face, with a constant sense of "OMG OMG OMG GET ME OUTTA HERE!!!"

halo 2 and 3 however, were meh. the flood was too friendly, like "lets be friends and kill the prophet together, then make waffles and drink tea while we TURN EVIL AGAIN AND STAB YOU IN THE BACK!".

i'd much prefer to have the constant suspense that halo CE had.

Do you want halo reach to be a little bit more eerie? even if there arent flood in it, find a way to make it scaryish...not full on horror, but enough to leave you on edge...

whadda you guys think

NOTE: i am using the flood in CE as an example, do not go telling me they aren't in Reach. i know. i don't care about your novels anyway.

When Nolan Bowen's memory conflicts with reality, everything changes... Partial Reminiscence: Revelation
Perspective
Loyalty
Repercussion

I would personally like the halo 1 "feel" in general. And there better be a heck of a lot more elites than brutes.

Your probably that one and only kid who walked out of the movies terrified after watching paranormal activity

Yes. think that in appropriate sections this would do well. I still want massive fire fights where you are running alongside other spartans, diving for cover when you see that tell-tale glow of the plasma grenade etc etc, but In between a little suspense wouldn't go unwelcome

i know it wasnt scary....but tense, and eerie.....the suspense....get my drift?

Wherever you roam
so far from home
you'll be safe from peril
life threatening and terrible
if you avoid David Powel
and keep track of your towel.

The entire story of Halo: CE was built around making that level full of suspense.

The only reason it was scary was because it was dark, mysterious, and above all empty. No Marines, No Cortana, only a few fleeing Covenant, then the Flood comes crawling out of the woodwork and things are intense and frightening.

Think of the next level, The Library. Was that scary?

Library made me hate elevators...nothing is slower.
