If you play Halo: Custom Edition, They are pretty hard to splatter with. If the map was big enough, I say yes.

Anyways, to the OP: they carry too many people at once (Making it easier to swarm enemy base, or causing multikills), can't be Hijacked (the door to the cockpit is through the troop transport section), and most people won't even use them as transports: they would just take them and leave before anyone else gets in for a splatter fest.



How bout in mm these vehicles crash killing the pilot/co-pilot but not the passengers? thats the way it happens with most pelicans.
