IDK how many of you ever played Left 4 Dead, but giving the point that there will be at least 5 main Spartans it could be easily set up as a Halo style L4D!

But. . . Left 4 Dead is covering the Left 4 Dead style game. It would be rather redundant for Halo to do the same.

L4D2 Demo is out! (off topic I know but might as well share)

I respect your opinions and views, and im not going to say your question is stupid, but Halo has its own style. The reason that Halo is one of the most popular games ever is because the unique style and characters it provides. You cant say, "Oh! Reach is gonna be like L4D!!!!!!! YAY"... No, lol every game has its style and thats why it is popular. Halo will have the same style of play, but I hope they go back to the origin with some of the weapons and gameplay: Halo 1.

i don't think that a halo in the style of l4d would be good
i love l4d but it wouldn't be as good cuz in halo there isn't GIANT hordes of enemies coming towards you.

I miss playing Halo with my friends.

No.

It would depend, I suppose, on what features you borrowed from L4D, and what features you kept of Halo's.

Speaking only from a campaign perspective, what makes Halo, Halo?

Semi-nonlinear, open environments. The Halo sandbox combat and physics. Vehicles. Recharging shields. Two weapon maximum.

What makes L4D, L4D?

Mostly linear levels. Focus on cooperation with medkits, pills, and reviving. Endless hordes of enemies. Interactive environments with scripted set-pieces. And last but not least, an innovative hybrid versus mode that combine co-op with player controlled enemies.

Do I think they could be combined to some extent? Maybe.

At the very least, a 4 player co-op Halo campaign with 4 players also controlling covenant enemies would be rather interesting.

If somebody's opinion is being smashed and nobody's helping, I try and help. I use logic and extensive vocabulary (and sometimes self-destructive circular reasoning) to confuse my enemies into submission. Fear me, trolling, fapping creatures of the night. For I. Am your worst nightmare.

Guys guys guys. OP you have this all wrong. Almost everybody making a topic related to the Flood is wrong. The Flood have not even been discovered yet. They were discovered AFTER
the Fall of Reach. When the Fall of Reach ends, that where CE begins. Read the Epilogue of FoR to see what Im talking about.

Left 4 Dead style (*GAAAAAAAAAAAAAAASP*) You mean like FIREFIGHT!?!??!!?!

  • 11.03.2009 9:18 AM PDT

Well that would only be like the survival mode in L4D.

I personally wouldn't care for any of the gameplay mechanics from L4D in my Halo... but I think a campaign/versus mode hybrid like L4D would be neat to have. Where a few players randomly control covie NPC's in a 4 player co-op game.

That would make a cool game, But It won't happen in halo reach because there will be no flood in halo reach.

Screw the Rules i have Money!

A complete copy no. Although take a few ideas such as forced team work could work.

If you want to see the MC die, play Legendary. If you want to see MC finish the fight, play Halo 3. If you want to see MC finish the fight by dieing, why did you waste six years when you could have done it yourself right now?

They were discovered by humanity earlier (Halo Wars). The only thing they need to do in order to have us fight Flood before H1 is to strand or kill off any humans who encounter them. They did it in Halo Wars, they can do it in Halo Reach.

Haha come on now that's a bit of a stretch. At least L4D and Halo are co-op oriented games in the same genre.

Star Fox tried to make a space flight shooter into a zelda-esque adventure game, that was borderline retarded.
