inferno when you say a pelican would be too powerful well think if they made a weapon that COULD kill it in one shot well they would have to make that weapon hard to use and hard to find to balance it out while the spartan laser could take 3 shots to blow it up which actually makes sense cause the scopion takes 2 then a slightly more armored pelican could take 3 which makes more sense

ok apparently if I'm correct spartan lasers weren't around in the times of reach, a spartan laser kills a phantom in 2 - 3 hits, and the eggs in the basket thing, yet it is a risk, but think of the awesomeness of it all, if it were a game were it was classes, or modifiesd classes, see CoD 4, it would be great, and maybe there could be a pilot class. e.g. phantoms, spirits, pelicans, longswords etc.
No worries, no offense taken, and yeah, I get what you're saying, and what I was saying was that no matter which way they try to balance the pelican it wouldn't be fun to use. Either 1. The Pelican is killed in 1 or 2 shots with whatever anit-vehicle weapon causing an entire team or a lot of them to die that was being transported, or 2. It takes too many hits to bring the Pelican down and as a result an entire team of 8 will raid an enemy base all at once. NOT fun either way. I just don't see any way it could be balanced so that it was fair and useful. I mean enemies would instantly start bombarding it as soon as it takes to the air hoping to score a killamanjaro medal.
