One day... I am gonna grow wings... A chemical reaction... Hysterical and useless... hystecial and let down and hanging around... crushed like a bug in the ground.
Basically this is my take on Halo 4. I just could not hold back any longer. The temptation is to great.
Prologue
March 2 2553, 2300 Hours, Shadow of Intent, Outside Hangar BF3
Rtas fired his Plasma rifle. The weapon flickered and flashed as a bolt of energy glided through the air towards the Flood Combat Form. The parasite exploded as Rtas leaped for the Hangar. The Phantom hit the deck just below the bay bouncing harmlessly of the Assault carrier's energy shield. Rtas heard click from his Plasma rifle noting that it had discharged its battery. Rtas panted as he stood up slowly and walked towards the bridge his arm clutching the empty Plasma rifle. He looked out the nearest porthole the surface of the Ark had become a graveyard for Covenant and Separatist cruisers, he saw many UNSC frigates to. The humans never were much help especially when it was thousands of kilometres above the surface, they didn't seem to have what was needed to use their weapons to their advantage, Rtas knew this from decades of experience. He continued walking.
Rtas reached the bridge. Several pilots and technicians sat, waiting for their Shipmaster to arrive. Rtas sat down as he ordered a course to be set for the portal. He rested his head against the headrest of his chair. He thought about the Spartan, the poor soul had no one left, At least he had a family back on Sanghelios. He imagined what it would be like to be him. A supposedly emotionless shell, living in nothing but a time of war.
Rtas wondered whether he really was emotionless maybe he did have emotions but was not allowed to show them, or did the UNSC cruelly take away his emotions to improve his combat effectiveness. Rtas knew he probably would never find out. He felt the gravity shift as they Carrier exited the portal. Rtas knew he had won the battle for his crew, so they would live and fight another day...
April 17 2553 0900 Hours, Earth, Sydney Metro, Sublevel 14
Yuri slipped unseen into the next corridor his Sub-Machine Gun at the ready. The guards wouldn't see him coming he thought, he had already made it through 14 sublevels of the metro. All he had to do was get down to sublevel 17, then use the private Navy subway to ride straight into HIGHCOM Facility Bravo Six or the "Hive" as the highly secure bunker was nicknamed. He was here because he needed to be here. If he didn't kill every damned ONI and Navy spook in the facility what would become of the Human race. A Xenos synthesising bunch of people who won't even be there to regret there mistake as the "Sangheili" bunch would have burned them to sand beforehand.
Yuri ran for the elevator in front of him. He tapped Sublevel 17 and entered the pass code. It wasn't too hard to find out; there never really were too many councillors in HIGHCOM that supported the treaty. The elevator quickly sped off, before long Yuri had reached Sublevel 17. He holstered his weapon; nobody ever really came down here. Some even say it was even haunted, after having a peer outside of the elevator he could understand why someone would think that. Yuri swiped add the cobwebs in front of the elevator and looked at the timetables. "The train should be arriving just about now." He said in a Russian accent. A rumble came from down the tunnel as he saw the Maglev train glide down the track. The train docked in front of him he thought he heard voices coming from inside the train. He quickly jumped to the top of the carriage directly in front of him. Two men walked out he recognised one as Fleet Admiral Harper, the guy who always stood up in television broadcastings and argued for his point. Yuri s-blam!-ed, atleast Harper wouldn't be arguing for his gunpoint. The muzzle of Yuri's S6S Sub-Machine gun flashed as a hail of silenced round hit the two men. Pools of blood formed as Yuri braced himself for the train to takeoff. The Maglev train silently began to move, it was unusual for a Maglev train to be this far underground, Yuri wondered why.
Yuri waited a few seconds before he felt the train come to a halt. He was just above the main elevator to the "Hive". Yuri heard footsteps as three men exited the train and onto the platform. He let them enter the corridor a few dozen metres from the train before jumping from the top of the carriage and then following the sound of their footsteps. Yuri followed the three men for several more minutes before he heard the buzzing of elevator down into the hive. He ran around the corner after the men, worrying that they may get on the elevator without him. Yuri skidded around a final corner before leaping at the three men already standing neatly in the lifts compartment. There were 3 flashes as the men fell silently to the floor of the elevator. Yuri slid into the compartment silently and waited.
The elevator took 2 minutes to reach its destination, 2 Miles below surface level. Yuri waited impatiently ignoring the three bodies at his feet.
The doors opened. Dozens of men couldn't turn around in time. A hail of bullets engulfed the room in death as Yuri held his finger on the trigger.
Once Yuri was sure everyone was dead he moved out of the elevator lobby and into a corridor heading towards the council chambers. As he entered the hallway four heavily armed men with riot shields turned a corner and entered at the opposite end of the hallway. The security team shouted then fired their weapons. Before they knew it they were all lying face first in pools of blood. Yuri exited the corridor and into the councils lobby. Dozens more men screamed and ran toward the corners of the room. Seconds later bullet strewn bodies lined the corner off the room. Yuri kicked the door to the one of the council chambers. He entered a large chamber. NavSpecWeapons was written in bold all over the walls. Yuri fired his weapon at the crowd, before checking if they were dead he looked behind him. A SWAT team was assembling in the lobby. He fired at the shocked squad, half of the dozen fell as they remaining six returned fire. Yuri ducked behind the closest row of seats in the Council chamber. He removed a grenade from his belt, pulled the pin and threw it at the door. He heard a scream peered out of his cover. There was no movement in the lobby. Yuri smiled before reloading his weapon. He headed back into the lobby before selecting another door with ONI Section 3 written in bold letters on the door. Yuri wondered why there were no alarms, had Slavo gotten to the security quicker than anticipated, that would explain the doors and why they had been opened so easily as well, Yuri didn't know, he was way too far below the surface to operate the COMM. Yuri approached the door he had selected, felt a breath on his neck. He turned to see a figure in black armour, an ODST. Yuri was dead before he blinked.
