"Find The Bomb?!
Find The Bomb?!
I'm Looking For The Flag!
What The Heck Is Assualt!?"

what i did with this was i used my bullets as a reference, my bullets had a Diameter of .50 inch, so i started with the barrel of the gun and scaled everything from there. So essentially this version of the Halo CE pistol fire's medium to long range 50 caliber bullets.

Oh I see, so this was really directly from scratch...

In that case...

Amazing, I myself dabble i modeling and I have to say to do that from scratch is quite amazing.

Is CAD free? I would love to start 3D modeling myself.

I perosonally use Gmax as my modeling program, and it is free (I'm pretty casual). But it isn't as easy as most people think, it isn't like you are using google sketchup.

Yeah you should create some good textures for the active scope! Have you thought about putting the gun in a scene, on a weapon rack or a holster to go with it?
It must be difficult to make this stuff in CAD, I would recommend blender as its easy to learn with its huge fan and tutorial base however dont brush off SU so easily. As its used mostly for mock ups etc you dont usually see its full potential, here are three models made and rendered withing SU and they show it can easily compete with blender or even gmax.
And buggy virus you too lol SU is a powerful tool in the right hands look for yourself and its super quick you should look it over its great for the casual modeler and easy to pick up>>>>

It looks interesting, although showing me amazing models doesn't do much for me, because every program has amazing models by people showcased, although I'll look into it a bit more by myself. Seeing as I don't know how it is different from other modeling programs.

yes buggy 100% from scratch.

yeah ive thought about scenes, hypershot has a ton available.
a weapon rack would be easy in cad, but i would need a scene behind it, maybe from halo?

that would be awesome

thats how i started with the sniper as well, i made a real .50 cal sniper round and then im working on the magazine to hold that, so im building it from the ground up.

Cool, great work man. Never Heard of Pro-E. I'm gonna try to find a torrent. Could I get a poly count on that? Looks very accurate.
