Ok...there are alot of people confused about how the "Halo Reach Beta" will be presented. This is what i have been hearing from alot of my "Halo Need" friends. Here's what they have been saying: The Halo Reach Beta will be presented through the Halo 3 ODST game, NOT the Halo 3 disc that came with Halo 3 OSDT. Sometime between the months of January and April or the year 2010 (maybe during part of the summer), people who have a Legit copy of Halo 3 ODST (not used) will get and update for the game. There is NO card or code (the ones that gives you free stuff, like 48-hours of Live Gold) that comes with the Halo 3 ODST game. The code is "Built-into" the disc itself. So if you were told that the game comes with card or code, then the person that told you has NO IDEA what they are talking about. When you get the update it will be installed automatically (like any other update). After the update HAS been installed, there will be a "Extras" tab added under the Main Menu of the Halo 3 ODST disc (Not the Halo 3 Disc). When you select that specific tab of the Main Menu you will be able to access the Halo Reach Beta. There are two other thing that some people are still confused about...for those people here is you answer: You do not (and i repeat), YOU DO NOT NEED TO PREORDER HALO 3 ODST! This is one of the most mixed up part information that people can't seem to figure out. and the second thing is, is that the Halo Reach Beta does NOT include the campaign feature...it is JUST Multiplayer. NO CAMPAIGN!
I really hope that this clears up the confusion that has been going around all over the web (and Bungie.net) about the Halo Reach Beta.
If you have any further questions, please feel free to send me a message (or post a comment) and i will try my best to answer you quickly and most efficiently and i possible can.
