""We meet again, young one. I am the last of those who gave you breath and shape and form, millions of years ago. I am the last of those your kind rose up and ruthlessly destroyed. And our answer is at hand."

I dunno like It could be arcadey and some levels could be based off of older Halo levels or from the books. Some ideas could be infiltrate a Covenant Cruiser and kill a prophet, defend the Onyx portal, Save Captain Keyes from the flood, a final warthog run. And maybe like a mile high club level on the dreadnought between halo 2 and 3

My name is Alex. I am 20 years old and I am currently attending the Savannah College of Art and Design to become a conceptual artist (majoring in game design). I am an avid gamer with a collection of 532 games (183 of those are 360 games(70 of which I have yet to play)) and every console from 1985 and onwards. I also have the most beautiful womanz in the world, who encourages me to draw more (I need the encouragement haha).

I agree with this wholeheartedly. Spec-Ops missions would be a good compliment to the (should be beefy) campaign.

Here’s what Luke had to say about the differences in treatment between the Spartans and Elites in Reach:

“Instead of piece-by-piece customization like the Spartans, Elite customization is a full model swap with models selected from the various Elite classes appearing throughout the Campaign. There are all kinds of reasons for this, not the least of which is our continued emphasis on the Spartan as your identity in Reach.”

They should be included, and used as an unlockable.

It would be great to play each UNSC mission from the Covenant side, in addition to other scenarios.

Both regular co-op and a spec-ops mode would be kinda cool. We could have Spec-ops missions based on older Halo: CE or Halo 3 levels and could play as the Covenant and have the flood involoved WITHOUT ruinig the canon! BUT knowing BUNGiE they will satisfy us with whatever they put in their game, after all, it IS their games!

Good idea man! Also, what could be cool are trial mission.

Examples: Time limit stuff, horde mode mission, command post conquest stuff.

Also, the forerunner ship mission coulb be seriously awsome, with a fight against lepidus at the end. (Lepidus is a red armored brute captain who had the mission to protect the ship from the demon. Form more info, go to halopedia.)

Fatum Iustum Stoltorum.

Would these SpecOps missions be more difficult than the standard campaign levels? If so then I'm all for it.

I think we need to open up a poll for this. It seems like a great idea that needs light shed on it.

I feel the SpecOps shouldn't include any pre-existing missions from same game, altered or not. That's what the skulls are for. I sincerely agree there should be scenario SpecOps missions that can even be based off of the older Halo games however.

- Protect Captain Keyes
- Invade the Covenant ship and defeat the Prophet
- Kill all Covenant within a time limit within Halo's core to stop Halo from activating
- Survive a horde of Flood without health packs/regeneration
- Infiltrate and blow up a Covenant cruiser as a lesser UNSC officer (if campaign is played by Spartans, this mission would be played by ODST, otherwise a blue-collar marine)

Things like this can really shake things up, but they would HAVE to be unlockables. They can't just be readily available... and it HAS to be difficult to even unlock them.

Also, I think this should have the availability to play in multiplayer. Some SpecOps missions can allow for more players than others. For example, "survive a horde flood" could allow for more players than "infiltrate a covenant cruiser".

I like the idea of unlockable/DLC levels, whether Spec-ops or not.
