I think that it will have a greater accuracy and range than the MA5B and MA5C because the barrel of the AR in the picture is definitaly longer than the MA5B and MA5C.

Here is the MA5B (Halo C.E.) AR

Here is the MA5C (Halo 3) AR

If you look above in the Banner, you can clearly see that the AR in the picture has a longer barrel length than both of the AR's we've seen.

Who's to say it's an AR? Could be something completely different

Eat raw meat.
Punch a bear in the face.

If you don't know who I am, the feeling is mutual.

Looks like a MA5C.

That's just how I see it.

Here’s what Luke had to say about the differences in treatment between the Spartans and Elites in Reach:

“Instead of piece-by-piece customization like the Spartans, Elite customization is a full model swap with models selected from the various Elite classes appearing throughout the Campaign. There are all kinds of reasons for this, not the least of which is our continued emphasis on the Spartan as your identity in Reach.”

Maybe with a flash suppressor. Or a heavier barrel.

What if its the MA2B

any way I pretty sure some MA5 will be in reach. and with the barrel it has in Halo 3 and even halo CE it should be accurate at 600m so it's just "video game aspect" the restrict the rifles range but i agree the AR should work like one in reach.

I like Halo, It kills all sentinel life with sufficient bio-mass... and doesn't afraid of anything.

Maybe a BR AR cross?

the AR is technically a BR so it would work.

That's impossible, guns can't reproduce.

A Battle rifle is a Gas or recoil operated rifle that fires a full sized rifle round like the 7.62x51mm

the AR shoots a 7.62x51mm

oh really.
i didnt know they had the same caliber bullets

I used to get on these forums back in the Halo 1, anticipating Halo 2 days...I'm back :)

Just because two rifles fire the same bullet doesn't mean they are the same weapon. Look up a SCAR-H, then look up an AK-47, and then look up an M40A1. Three COMPLETELY different rifles with the same cartridge.

This, anyone who know's anything about guns would figure this out instantly.

Guns, generally speaking, are heavily modifiable. Barrels, firing mechanisms, clips, etc.

Saying, however, that the AR and the BR are the same, is like saying a D. Eagle and a 50Cal sniper are the same because they can use the same ammunition, as well as the 50 cal autofire (SAW maybe, I can't remember).

In other words(since my general knowledge is likely flawed)

There comes a time in customization or even evolution of a firearm when it earns a completely distinct classification, and ammo is not the only point that causes that distinction.

Actually these are the same caliber but not the same cartridge

the SCAR-H fires a 7.62x51mm effective at 600m
the AK-47 fires a 7.62x39mm effective at 300m
the M40 fires a the same 7.62x51mm the SCAR-H and MA5 does but it is bolt action meaning no energy is used to cycle the weapon. This gives it better muzzle velocity.

Well Played, my friend. I noticed my mistake right before I posted, but thought no one would notice.

Once somebody told me that they were playing H:CE and they were watching an grunt for a really long time and then it turned into an elite.

More enemies = better accuracy, makes sense to me.

thx,

BTW you do have a good point with different rifles will have a different effect on the bullet, an example is the AK-47s barrel actually bends because the Bolt is unbalanced. so auto fire is relatively inaccurate, but on semi auto i could hit milk jug 100 yards away prone. so a spartan should be able to accurately hit a 7 foot tall spartan or elite at 100 m standing.

I would like the MA5 to be accurate and effective at longer ranges, for the sake of using the advantage of high velocity projectiles, as opposed to overwhelming power

that is what I like about halo CE, you are fighting an advanced alien alliance with extremely powerful weapons, but the simplicity of your primitive weapon provides an advantage if used right.
