Subject: Return of 343 Guilty Spark?

Posted by: Darth01
I go around the world leaving a path of destruction in my wake. When I come to a city, grown men cry and women wail. I collect the skulls of my enemies and display them for all to see.........I also kick puppies. For fun.

as for fighting in the orbit of a gas giant...does it count that at the end of the
H2 trailer that MC is floating downward toward a covie ship in orbit of a massive planet

The planet to which you refer is Earth. And technically he is not fighting in orbit in the trailer. What I think they mean is some kind of station in the upper reaches of a gas giant that the Master Chief visits to kick some ass.

If you watch that Halo 2 documentary they mention the battling in the atmosphere of a gas giant and then show a clip that pans around some kind of Covie or Forerunner installation. This could possibly be the place to which they refer.

Yeah the index probably is the glowing key thingy, and the covvies would expect it to be on the flag ship that was assigned to the halo area.....
but of course the Assedant justice got nicked by Sgt Johnson and co. Notice he refuses to die? In the recent halo 2 voice out-take it metions something about him coming back to life so i think he is invicible or sumit. (at least in the story line)

Humanitys last hope is not with the augmented Master Chief and his fellow surviving spartans, but with a marine who refuses to die before avenging his fallen comrades.....

for whoever said that 343 would ally with the covenant and then backstab them that was what i wanted to say.

but what if the covenant ally with the humans later on...when the covenant find out that the monitors have access to activate ALL the halo installations. Then the covey gods will say its ok for thre humans to live. And somehow the monitors get pissed and give the flood acces to leave the installations......then it would be covey and humans vs.monitors and flood.

but the flood are to stupid to be allyd.

This is all just an idea

Wait, where did 343 come from? Who built it? Was it the Forerunners? I'm sure the new Halo ring world will have to do with 343. Maybe the Forerunners built a seperate Halo to get away from the Flood. And lastly, what was 343's original reason for being on Halo anyway?

343 was on Halo as the Monitor. Basically he was like a librarian, keeping track of all the records and making sure everything was okay. He was also there to make sure nothing when awry with the Flood. As for other purposes, who knows?

343 was responsible for maintenance and upkeep of the facility. Obviously when halo went off and killed all the forerunners all that would be spared would be mechanical lifeforms like 343GS, so a robotic form would be required.
As for what he's doing in halo 2, we don't know what sort of technology the forerunners created, it's quite possible that he would be able to venture through slipspace without any outside assistance. We've seen the crystals in the books do some very strange things to slipspace, what if he has a fragment at his core?

Perhaps a new monitor will come into play.

I don't see how Guilty Spark could float his way very far unless he got onboard a Covenant craft or something, but it is Sci-fi, so who the hell knows?

well, u know how the monitor can teleport, he may have teleported out of halo and into space!!!

I'm pretty sure teleporting requires the right facilities to do it in. I don't see how or why 343 could just teleport himself all over the place. I think it was just a system on Halo that allowed him to.

As for the Halo going off at one point... Could that be what wiped the dinosaurs out as well as the Forerunners?

I doubt 343 had anything at his core allowing him to escape Halo at any time he wanted. He was meant for upkeep so the Forerunners would not want him leaving. On top of that, 343 is excited when going through Cortana's systems and finding out new information for the first time; all the lost records, he says. He wouldn't be so excited if he could just leave and explore everything himself.

As for the Forerunners being wiped out... What other explanation is there? They all kind of just disappeared. It has also been said that Halo has been fired off at least once before. What if the Forerunners or 343 fired it off to prevent the Flood from escaping and so killed the Forerunners? That would explain his name: Guilty Spark.

Nope, we all have to deal with it.

But, think about the thing with 343. Everyone knows he is not entirely "sane." Being alone for possibly millions of year would break any human, so why not AI, even if it is modeled in the likeness of not humans, but Forerunners.

That is another thing to think about, though. Humans would model our AI off of ourselves. We wouldn't know any other way if you really think about it. So, in all likeliness, the Forerunners would model their AI after THEMSELVES as well. Why does their AI and ours seem so similar? Obviously we have more in common with the Forerunners than anyone cares to think.

what if there were humans before we knew. They had better technology then us and they built halo to contain a species called the flood they found on a planet they wanted to populate. They built their A.I (who knows the english language) to help maintain the flood.A human ship crashed on Halo and the monitors waited to see if they could escape. But guilty spark just turned on halo's defense system. The humans were killed. Except for a newly populated planet called Earth.Earth was out of the ring's range. So the human race was destroyed.Except for the newly populated planet

The only problem with your theory is the fact that we share a common ancestor with apes. It wouldn't make sense to say that humans populated the Earth from some other planet. We would've had technology instead of beating boars with clubs.

Decent idea, but slightly flawed.

Keeping it alive... Anyone else have thoughts on what's going to happen with 343 Guilty Spark in Halo 2?
