So what im saying is how about two Disks similer to ODST. Since this is Bungies last Halo game i think they should put it all speratly. So basiclly they put one story onto one disk, Possibly 20 hr Campaign and more ? and the multiplayer on the other. On the multiplayer side they could maybe put all Halo or most populer halo maps in history with of course new maps.

They wont be constricted as much by the amount of space shared between multiplayer and single player anymore. So they can put it all in on a disk without having to cut out parts they liked to save room.

I know this idea probably wont happen and all but just sharing it with community.

I believe they had to put the ODST Campaign and the Halo 3 multiplayer on two discs because there was too much content for a single disc. A new game probably wouldn't have so much content, so it probably won't be necessary.

  • 11.04.2009 4:21 AM PDT

I think it would. It' would allow Bungie to put a lot of sweet content in both Campaign and Multiplayer this way(They'd each get their own disk). Use some of the fan's ideas too even.

It's all crazy, It's all false, It's all a dream, It's alright

everyone will vote yes obviously, because it will make the game better ( but will probably never happen ) so if someone voted no it would be like saying " I want t he game to be bad?"

That's why you vot the very first one if you don't want a Two disk, because they can charge more with a two disk than a 1. Like ODST for example, it was going to be $40, till they put in the second disk(Halo 3 Complete Multiplayer experience) brought it up by another $20.

5th Mythic Conqueror of ODST.
If you would like to know more about Mythic difficulty please go to this thread. Thank you.

Please do not send me "recruitment messages" as I'm not interested in joining any groups currently.

I'd like this, having a disc full of Campaign and one dedicated to the multiplayer aspect (MM, Customs, Forge etc.) would be great IMO.

Scandinavian Master Race!

Two discs like Forza 3.

Campaign Disk + Multplayer Disk would make sense IMO, as long as online Coop campaign fits in the campaign too.

Another idea, would be to have a third disk that would just install the Engine on your 'Box, making the two other run much more smoothly.

Also, use NXE so we can install the game if there's no Engine Disk!.

should be 3 discs, seriously they need to make this a hell of a game.

First disc = Campaign ( Make the most spectucular and story driven campaign ever in FPS history and games. )

Second Disc = Multiplayer/ Firefight ( Huge detialed lush map )

Third Disc = Full Map Maker/Forge

Been playing Halo since CE

2 Discs would be epic.

Look at the length of a game like MGS1 which was on a CD not a DVD and that was a hella long game because it took advantage of using two discs.

For Halo reach you could have the multiplayer on one and campaign on another double the experience of each.

And i say no to full map maker in Halo reach unless if its on PC

Console map making tools suck dick you need a mouse and a keyboard to create such accuracy.

Either put Halo Reach on PC with cross platform to Xbox and allow sending of maps to Xbox players......Or do a map maker on the PC and allow you to add your maps from your PC onto your file share then download from there.

2 disks is good, whoever said three disks fails... It would be sooo annoying to have to leave the MM disk and switch to a separate forge disk!

The last time I tried to make a quote, a car smashed through my wall and the tire hit my grandmother in the other room. But for those of you who can haz once more between five, I say it will be five between seven divided by zero multiplied by Chick Norass and Broce Tee.

Believe it or not they already have a fully playable version of the game they are testing out right now.
Don't think the storyline is going to change that much.

Been playing Halo since CE

Far cry 2 map editor is dog -blam!- compared to PC based editors like Sources hammer editor.

My troll sense is tingling.

I think it would be better if it was done the same way as Forza 3.

Normal editions should be 2 discs. Collectors Editions should have 3 discs, with one being Halo CE with Live compatibility and other Xbox 360 features (friends list, custom soundtrack, legit matchmaking). It would be an excellent gift for the fans from Bungie.

Time to die.

Three disks.

1. Campaign, Theater, Extras

2. Custom Games, Matchmaking,Firefight, [PLACE AWESUM GAME MODE HERE], Theater, Extras

3. Forge, Theater

  • 11.04.2009 10:33 AM PDT

1.Arkham Asylum, 2.Mass Effect, 3.Halo CE, 4.Mass Effect 2, 5.Halo 2, 6.Splinter Cell Double Agent, 7.Gears of War 2, 8.Medievil, 9.Oblivion, 10.Crash Team Racing

Great way to fight against Blu Ray. A detailed 20 hour campaign on 1 disc and 2nd disc with 20 starter MP/Firefight maps.

I say DVD is the thing holding 360 back. Since Xbox1 games haven't gotten any bigger, all improvements come with a price. From PS1 to Xbox there was a huge leap but between Halo1 and 3 there is almost no difference. PS3 games that actually use Blu Ray (MGS4, Uncharted 2, Heavenly Sword) rule the world

Why couldn't it happen? Final Fantasies and Metal Gear Solid and other A+++ Playstation1 games were on multiple discs. Someone said Forza 3 had 2 discs as well as did ODST.

But with DLC-selling I doubt it. We all know even 1 disc will sell and people will buy the DLC

We got Jackals in the courtyard!

that would be awesome if their was 2 discs.

  • 11.04.2009 1:07 PM PDT

Well for the 3 disks there could be a simple answer to that. We keep the two disks as i said. Possibly make forge a free DLC ? So it wont be constricted by DvD but by how much room on your hard drive you have. But you could always expand that.

Ugh...

First on a BWU.. yeah, I'm cool.

ODST;MYTHIC Screenshot winner! One of the first to get their hands on the mythic map pack.

Halo 3 was pushed to the limit, they had the campaign which was good and the multi-player maps on one disk, but they had to cut some stuff I believe to fit it all on the one disk.

ODST had to be on 2 disks because they couldn't have all the multi-player maps and the campaign and firefight, etc all on one disk.

SO I believe Reach will be on 2 disks, to fit a good sized campaign, maybe a massive campaign (We can only hope) and maybe some extra things like a firefight mode, then the other disks will strictly be multi-player.
