Subject: Would double disks help bungie make reach all it can be ?

You guys are so damn limited.

Why not three discs? Campaign, Multiplayer, and Forge.

Every time you sneeze into an open Febreze portal the boner-tree drive shaft will spin into ketchup. But it doesn't stop at the number two pizza bell, not even close. It continues into the seventy eight minute long pile of green, sobbing cheese trains with no more butter, but more like the steak owed the tin cans some lovin'.

Both of Halo 3: ODST's discs combined only total 6.7 GB, which would easily fit on a single DVD (8.5 GB). It probably uses two separate discs so there aren't issues with having achievements from two different games.

Using two discs won't just magically make everything better - only if there isn't enough room on the one disc and sacrifices would have to be made for it to fit. I say bungie should just include as much as they can create, and use two discs if it ends up being necessary.

This man, this man right here put it so eloquently that I actually cancelled my own 2000+ word long post.
/slow clap for respect

:)
The person who said participating is important, not winning, obviously never won anything.

If its necesary yes, and if they make REACH that kickass that it needs 2 disks, ill asplode

Well its not to make the game magiclley better. Its more like so they can truly out do themselves without having to be restrained by room on the disk. Just a way i thought would be simpiler then trying to cramp everything on one disk. So the end result would be good parts wich could have been in the game would have to be cut due to size issues.

Bungie, oh Bungie, oh Bungie,
Know what would really be fun, G?
I don’t wish to nag
But remake Coag,
Or die from a purple sword-lungie.

I would love to have an amazing campaign take up one disc.

Hope to someday work at this place! :)

if the disks are jam packed with 3x everything the previous games had, I'd take as many disks they can fit in the packaging!!!

Marine Corps.
Semper Fi.

My problems [with Reach] are basically just full parties, mlg, and people who go out of their way not to get killed.

Yes, that would be awesome.

I think that it would be awesome if Reach was so epic and Massive, that it required a whole disk just for Campaign, and the other disk had Multilayer and other junk

Exactly

3 discs... no.

Imagine. You make a map in forge. You put in the MP disc to play it with friends. They point out a flaw. Change disc again. Come back, another flaw, switch discs again... see the problem...

Thats why i said Forge could possibly be a free DLC add on ? its in one of my replys.

Then you have to download 500mb to 1gb to use forge. Keep it in the MP disc. The MP disc from Halo 3 is only 3/4gb. (This is the Mythic disc)

should be 3 discs, seriously they need to make this a hell of a game.

First disc = Campaign ( Make the most spectucular and story driven campaign ever in FPS history and games. )

Second Disc = Multiplayer/ Firefight ( Huge detialed lush map )

Third Disc = Full Map Maker/Forge
I like it, but then the value of the game would probably be like $75 or even $80, so Microsoft loves the idea too. Each disk individual would mean that everything on that should be near perfection.

That's easy, make it so that there is a testing mode and friends with that disk can come in, test it and point out the issues and can even help out if they were allowed to.

“There is no hunting like the hunting of man, and those who have hunted armed men long enough and liked it, never care for anything else thereafter.” - Ernest Hemingway

It worked well with ODST. I hope something like that will happen in Reach.

Well then you're giving Bungie some more to work on. Having to create a testing mode which you can invite friends over on a separate disc from the MP meaning more coding. Why is there a need for 3 discs? Multiplayer itself is small. You have MP which is 4gb or something, which leaves you another 4.5gb. Forge is around 1gb, leaving 3.5gb. 3.5gb to use on new features and then again, that won't take much either and you are left with an extra 1gb.

1.Arkham Asylum, 2.Mass Effect, 3.Halo CE, 4.Mass Effect 2, 5.Halo 2, 6.Splinter Cell Double Agent, 7.Gears of War 2, 8.Medievil, 9.Oblivion, 10.Crash Team Racing

*Looks at ODST campaign*

Yes I can see why it's 6.7GBs.
- Campaign should be longer and bigger, than any other Halo
- Firefight should be bigger
- Multiplayer should have more stuff (All weapons on all maps, Flood in Infection)...

I do think 3 discs would be crazy however. 2 would be perfect

Bungie should make it like Turn 10 did with Forza 3. IF they run out of space on 1 disk.

Disc 1 = Play Disc

Disc 2 = Content Install Disc

I think they would have thought about this around two years ago when they started making it. They are a professional organisation after all.

As good as this idea sounds on paper, you think twice when you consider you'd constantly have to be changing disks. Better you could have three choices

A) Get 2 disks
B) Dowload the 2nd half of the game as free dlc, thus eliminating said problem.

forget 3 disks

ODST had to be on 2 disks because they couldn't have all the multi-player maps and the campaign and firefight, etc all on one disk.

The only reason why ODST comes with 2 DVD's are the achievements.
You can get 1000 G for the campaign and Firefight. If there was the Halo 3 Multiplayer on the very same disk you would not have been able to get achievements for Halo 3. There seems to be a 1000 G per disk restriction. They could not add the Halo 3 Multiplayer achievements to ODST.

ODST is 3.4gb, Disk 2 3.0gb.
So there was enough space to put everything on one DVD.

I don't care if it takes 20 disks. Whatever allows the best game possible. I mean who whould complain about multiple discs? 2 for campaign (yes it's long), 1 for multiplayer, and 1 for forge, etc.

A real test of a man is if he is willing to scrape a sharpened razor up and down his junk just to please a woman.

I think it would. It' would allow Bungie to put a lot of sweet content in both Campaign and Multiplayer this way(They'd each get their own disk). Use some of the fan's ideas too even.

Welcome to the town of "Diligence." I'm Mayor Due.

I say pack it in there. I don't care how many discs it takes, just make the game with as much content as they can think of.
