We all have seen many threads about removing weapons, and, my opinion is that Bungie shouldn't remove any weapon, just change them.

(I won't talk about the BR because it's too polemic to discuss about its future here)

Examples:

-Spiker:It's the bad counterpart of the SMG
Solutions: a)Make it a bigger, non dual weildable weapon, as the AR, but less accurate, with a short range and more damage.
b)Make it a very accurate dual weildable light machine gun

-AR: It's just for close range
Solution: Make it more accurate, with larger range

-Flamethrower: Betraying machine, a little useless
Solution: Make it a first person weapon, and give it more range.

- Brute shot: It's very fun, but it could be better if Bungie gave it more rounds per clip and bigger (not stronger) explosions, so it can very easily flip moving vehicles.

-Grenades: I just want bigger explosions, like the brute shot

What do you think, guys?

[EDIT] A new physics system would be cool, too. Just more spectacular, like if a frag hits a box (the old one), it flies some metters, not just stand some centimeters further

ill agree with you on the AR one and the flamethrower but with more range? the flamethrower has plenty of range already

The only improvement I'd want to see, weapon wise, is stronger frag grenades, and an upgrade to the brute shot. For an RPG, it does very little damage. It's needs a large blast radius (like you said) and to deal more damage.

I think they should remove as many weapons as they can from multiplayer to keep it balanced. But that doesn't mean that those can't be in campaign or custom games or fiesta.

i think that they should add the campgain equipment which is campaign only to mp and forge,equipment like auto turrets,invincible etc

i agree they shouldnt remove weapons but super accurate spiker mashine gun????all other weapons will be useless.i mean think of a human turret with sniper range and accurasy with dual smg rate of fire a 200 round mag and spikers damage.ooooooooverpowered

The idea is a big spiker, with low rate of fire and damage, but very accurate

I do miss the Halo: CE AR and Grenades, with the AR having 660 rounds, and sounding like a beast when you fired it. The grenades back then were awesome too, it was like a handheld Scorpion tank shell

It's sad, but the AR in Halo 3 sounds soooooo innofensive

The spikers should just be terrifying; I would like to see the as they were in the land fall video.

as far as the AR goes. It needs more than accuracy.

- A good sound. the MA5C is vastly more effective the MA5B. but the MA5B was fun to use.

- I needs to do more armor damage as opposed to shield. The AR dose more damage then the BR but the BR has "head shot" so the BR kills quicker.

- And it would be nice it it blew sparks out of walls and players so you know where your shots are hitting. because once you targets shield is down you don't know if you are hitting him or not.

Id like to see stronger frag grenades. I'm pretty sure that in the book that came with the LE of H3 it said that frags were stronger then plasmas, yet when you stand on top of either one, that plasma will kill you while the frag will only take off your shields.

The book is at home so I can't check it, would be cool if someone could verify this for me.

That's a thing that's always bothered me too, the fact that frags don't do as much damage as plasmas, I mean like you said it'll kill you if you stand on top of a plasma, but add to that the fact they can also stick, and it seems that the plasmas are overpowered compared to the frags

What makes it "bad"? It is a fine weapon, just pretty much the polar opposite of how the SMG functions.

While the SMG has a high rate of fire and weak bullets, the Spiker has a low rate of fire but strong bullets.

While the SMG has fast traveling bullets and a huge cone of spread, the Spiker has slow traveling bullets but a narrow cone of spread.

It's hard to be efficient with the SMG because with a large spread cone, not all of your bullets will hit most targets unless you burst fire the SMG.

It's hard to be efficient with the Spiker because with slow traveling bullets, not all of your bullets will hit moving targets unless you lead your shots.

The AR is somewhere inbetween the two with average attributes.

I don't exactly see how either of your solutions fix any "problems" that probably don't exist.

If there are no Brutes in the campaign mode there won't be any Brute weapons in the game which I hope is the case.

So long as each weapon has it's own unique purpose with weaknesses and strengths i don't mind weapons being taken away or added. Almost all of the weapons in Halo 3 are only affective at close to medium range. That's one of the reasons the BR dominates. There's nothing to counter it. Unless they can change how most of the weapons behaved from Halo 3 i think a lot of them should be taken out.

Clearly because the desktop uses a 3 prong plug and a laptop uses a 2 prong plug, the microwave will fill your car with tostitos better

I agree with the AR thing. It needs to have a little bit of a larger clip and a slightly better range.

Same with the magnum. Larger clip, slightly smaller reticule, 1.5x scope, *slightly* (as in it would still have a slower minimum kill speed than the BR, but not by much) faster rate of fire would be heaven for me.

Tighten the BR spread up, make the carbine a starting weapon, and we now have 4 weapons that function at mid range and not 1 +the carbine on occasion.

That's the main idea of the thread. Taking out weapons is a step back. Fixing them is a big step forward
