Subject: Sensitive Areas When Shot?

Who wants to see some sensitivity in playing and getting shot.

Like:

- Being thrown on your back from a grenade blast
- Slowing down when shot in the chest
- Falling to a knee or stumbling when shot in the leg
- Decreased accuracy when shot in the arm
- Dizziness or impaired vision when shot in head

This would make firefights a bit more tactical, and would punish those stupid enough to run and spray at a group of enemies. It would also make good use of different weapons, for instance: burst fire at the legs of a sword-wielder, dropping them to a knee and giving you time to move back and take them out.

Eh?

it would be cool, but to a certain extent too realistic

Too Fallout 3-ish.

Halo is fine as it is.

The last time I tried to make a quote, a car smashed through my wall and the tire hit my grandmother in the other room. But for those of you who can haz once more between five, I say it will be five between seven divided by zero multiplied by Chick Norass and Broce Tee.

Those would be good in any game but Halo, because if it's only in a prequel to the end of a series and something that we haven't seen in past Halo's it shouldn't be in it. Maybe in a new series from Bungie.

ODST 42nd Battalion.
Drop in and check us out.

Way to complicated for the engine, plus this would totally mess up the multiplayer we know today.

In the days of old, there were legends of a land long lost to time. This land was known as Ranna'Mor. Ranna'Mor was said to contain in its borders 7 warriors. These warriors had once unleashed a veritable hell upon the ancient world, until they were locked away. My name is Toriad, and I am one of those warriors. Our return is approaching. Do not run away, do not cower in fear; take solace in your final days, for that is all we can do. -Legend of Ranna'Mor

That sound unnecessarily complicated.

Incidentally, you would not get blown away when hit by a grenade. The current physics engine just causes you to fly up a few inches. If a person could survive that in real life, that's all that would happen.

I think falling backwards and landing on the ground should happen with survival of grenades or rockets... That should be implemented for sure...

Well it can totally be implemented, but remember that you have 2 rockets per tuber and 2 grenades of each, so knockdown means the second one is insta-kill.

Knockdown maybe, but no sensitive limbs (for spartans or elites at least). They have energy shields that cover their entire body and are the same strength all over, it wouldn't make any sense.

I like how in halo CE, one your shield was gone you were screwed i only have a few additions.

- I like this.
- Only when the shield is down.
- If it's a big enough bullet, like a sniper, spiker or maybe plasma.
- I like this
- Should kill you but mose people and maybe even bungie don't like the idea auto weapons Having "head shot" but i like the idea.

  • 11.04.2009 8:53 AM PDT

Its a cool idea but it would slow down the gameplay to much

  • 11.04.2009 8:58 AM PDT

Tallahassee?
I spent two weeks in Tallahassee one night.

That just would not be Halo. They are spartans who can flip cars. Maybe if their shields went down. However It might be nice for their next big game if you aren't playing as a super soldier.

If you read this, you've wasted a few seconds of your life.

I think its a good idea, but not for in matchmaking. I remember when playing Halo Ce, when I shot a shieldless elite in his leg, he would grab it so don't complain that the engine can't handle it. And for the people who say Halo is fine the way is is, why would you buy a new game then, if it is so perfect, just play Halo 3
