im just going to give you a taste of the detail im putting in.
my .50 cal bullets are complete as is the magazine, but im only going to post a couple shots without the bullets.

just a preview of the sniper rifle. Here is the magazine, now im assuming from forge the bottom of the magazine has a molded piece of plastic around it. I also had to custom make some tabs on top to hold the bullets in. The bullets are not in this render.

Now the render is going to make the magazine look huge, but compared to the rifle it will fit perfectly. trust me

the rendered look is good but for the bottom of the magazine I suggest having a weathered texture as that one looks to clean, other than that great start!

I'm like a rain drop in a storm.

Wow, this is just as amazing as your other work on the pistol.

7/7

Great start. I also recommend that the sniper be a jet black color, instead of it's usual light gray. But I don't know, you are the creator.

Also, don't make it shiny/plasticy please. That is a huge art problem with Halo 3, everything looks plastic.

No signature found. Click here to change this.

If you're going to play around with some of the textures (I'm not sure if you can do that without altering the shape/design of the weapon) it would be great to have your new, weathered, polished, dirty, etc textures, and then one giant image comparing them all.

Judging by the quality of your last model, I'm really excited to see how this turns out. This is the best piece of work I've seen in the Gallery forum to date.

god this is detailed, the modeling community that makes the most halo stuff normally can't make stuff like this since they put it in game.

Normally textures are given for that kind of detail.

You should try baking the textures to get all that extra detail in without upping the poly count.

i just got 3ds max 2010 and vray, so ill no longer be using cad to model, and hypershot to render, ill be using 3ds max vray plugin which should give it an exceptionally realistic feel.
thanks for the support guys, updates coming soon
if you check my blog, i just finished a 3D model of a mustang GT and a new rim design.
