Awesome Fos Tis Krisis! Finally a person that actually see the unfairness between Elites and Spartans! I'm with you man! And I like your idea with this thread, you've seriously got some Spartan lovers pretty damn angry at you, hehe ;)
First of all, to all the Elite-haters. WHY do you hate them so much? "They look stupid, 5-year old kids play as dinosaurs" and "Elites are for noobs!" that's not an answer to the question that most of you Elite-haters have replied. That's just your own personal opinion... I play myself as an Elite most of the time. For many reasons, mostly because I like how they look like and their personality, aggressive, honored and great soldiers. They have an important role in the Halo universe. But just because I like Elites doesn't mean I have to hate Spartans? No, I don't hate them. But I actually HATE those who are constantly whining about how big advantage the Elites have in MM or similar, "you can't get headshots from the back with a sniper so easy on the Elites" - that's quite a common comment about the Elites. Well, if you are so good at getting headshots, then you problably won't find it too hard to shoot two shots hitting somewhere else on the body and that would also be a kill, right? I played Matchmaking quite a lot before. But I've got tired of all these Elite haters that find it more funnier to throw grenades on your team-mate just because you played as an Elite...
Secondary, Spartans got like 12 different perms in MM, Elites got 5! only. Is that fair? No. I don't think so...
Last, I really find it amusing seeing how some ppl may think that only 5-year old noobs play as Elites because they like dinosaurs more than these much better Hardcore-Spartans. Why haven't I seen a single complain from an Elite player how stupid these Spartans are? :) It may sound now that I'm judging all the Spartan-players and that's not the purpose. This message is only dedicated to these narrow-minded players that can't see this wonderful game Halo from another point of view than from the inside of their Spartan helmet.
And I myself would gladly see a game playing only as the Elites. I really enjoyed Halo 2 while playing as Arbiter. You had a more sneeky game-style and had to use your active camouflage wisely to avoid the enemies. This is something I really would like to see more of in Halo Reach!
