I like it more now than before. Its one of those things I like more now because I know more about it than I did when it first came out. That to me makes the game more fun.

Everyone feels sick the first time they kill someone... but killing is one of those things that gets easier the more you do it.

I like it more. I played a fair share of halo 3 and halo 3 odst. It is nice to come back and play the old maps. I even play halo (1) sometimes. Its always nice to go back to the roots.

Can you believe it?

My enjoyment started to come back recently after I got bored with Halo 3.

Just fired 'er up on my Jasper a little while ago. Can't say how awesome it is. Was waning and reconsidering my stance, but, after this go through, I have to say, H-2 is absolutely the best game ever made. Absolutely a masterpiece. Thanks Bungie.

If you don't live for something you'll die for nothing.

in some ways i enjoy it more because its more exclusive.

its like when you take a break from your loving girlfriend(halo2)
and go out on a few dates with this new nasty girl that has a -blam!- ton of baggage(halo3)

it makes you appreciate your loving girlfriend even more.

in other ways i enjoy it less because it takes forever to find a match, if you can even find one because on a good day it'll have a maximum of 1000+ or - players online.

Halo 2 for Life!

I enjoy it more! I'm much better now, i.e. at timing, spawn times, avoiding cheaters, finding friends that actually play for fun, how to deal with kids, loners, women, people that play loud music, and almost every kind of person you might meet in halo2. I have more fun in halo2 with less time devoted to it and therefore it is more fun today then it was when it first came out. It would be a great loss to the halo community to lose halo2 online on xbox live.

I enjoy it more because when it first came out I didn't have XBL, but now that I do, I find it alot more fun.

Meow?

Amazing game, when I first played I did not know to much about Halo so I was not interested but now I love it, one of the best games ever made. :)

Same here. I miss the modders and the people who go off the map every game, those were good times.

They made matchmaking interesting back during halo 2's glory days. They added something new, and if we lost we had a legitimate reason to blame/hate the other team.

And so it never died.

I don't enjoy it as much anymore. I think back to all of the good times I had before and that just doesn't happen anymore. The matchmaking is shutting on and off and it just seems like it's heading downhill. Still my favorite of the series, though.

Nobody cares about anyone else's opinion - be it mine, yours, or a cult of angry star wars nerds - when they are enjoying what they enjoy.

Everyone cares about opinions, that's why we socialize on a forum with strangers.

I debated voting 'more', but I think I enjoy the game about as much as I did five years ago, just in a different way. When Halo 2 was first released, it was all about beating the campaign, finding all the cool secrets, and making new friends. Today, for me at least, it's about playing with people you've known for years on custom games and refining old tricks and skills. The 'wow' factor is gone, but it's been replaced by a sense of familiarity and community that was never there in the beginning.

50 in H2/H3? Great, but you still fail at this.

I never played when it first came out, i played later on, but it is worse then when i started (matchmaking is dieng)

I enjoy the campaign more now, after adjusting to games like Halo 3/ODST (very easy games) I'm really enjoying having to work hard to finish a game for a change.

Online obviously is nowhere near as good, hardly anybody plays and most people seem to just not care even whilst playing.

it takes FOREVER to find matches.

I miss all the crazy glitches - sword flying on headlong anyone? I also miss being able to find an FFA match and a match of Team Hardcore. It will never be the same, but on the odd occasion I get some friends together for customs we still have a blast!

HALO 2 will rule 4ever. It is Halo and it is enougth. Thanks Bungie, our life will never be the same.

Everytimes I go back to Halo CE or Halo 2 I miss Halo 3 controls! With dual Wielding is even worse.

Yes but halo 2 had a great challange in Legendary, today I dont know how could I beat it in legendary, as I grow up my skills are ungrowing!

I missed one sniper shot one dead, jumping in the middle of the sniper shots.

  • 11.22.2009 9:00 AM PDT

Definitely not as much as I used to. It used to be all about shenanigans with my buddies, and having fun. Now, none of my friends really play it, and finding new friends to play with in it is rather difficult.

Though, while Halo 2 on the Xbox is rather dead to me, I still have plenty of awesome shenanigans on Halo 2 Vista... as terrible of a port as it is.

Halo 2 for Life!

For those that say they cant find matches, or new friends in halo2, i have two questions,

1. what time of day do you play at?
2. what playlists are you playing on?

I ask because I dont have these problems of finding new friends in halo2 and not being able to find matchs in halo2.
