Here’s what Luke had to say about the differences in treatment between the Spartans and Elites in Reach:
“Instead of piece-by-piece customization like the Spartans, Elite customization is a full model swap with models selected from the various Elite classes appearing throughout the Campaign. There are all kinds of reasons for this, not the least of which is our continued emphasis on the Spartan as your identity in Reach.”

I want to ensure that the developers at Bungie realize how much I value being able to use guest profiles on Xbox Live.
It seems that since the Xbox 360 came out, fewer and fewer games allowed guests at all, let alone as much as Halo 3 does.
I enjoy the guest feature, since it allows me to play with any of my friends, online, in most social playlists. This gives my friends the chance to play the game, in pure splitscreen fun.
With other games, my friends would need an account with Live, or even their own Xbox to even start playing a game, let alone purchase one.
This flexibility is one of the most outstanding features of Matchmaking, and I would appreciate it's inclusion in Halo: Reach.
I feel that the level of features provided in Halo 3 for guests is appropriate, with just the right level of access tempered with enough restriction.
Do you have any thoughts on guests?

Video gaming should be a social experience. Sure we have Xbox Live, but guests should be a big part. Or as big as in Halo 3.

...there's nothing quite like playing together in the same room. its simply more fun than playing over xbl and its a great feature for people with friends without live.
