I am very worried now...here in the forums we had some amazing ideas that would of innovated the Halo francise, From true sandbox and openworld gameplay from the likes of GTA and for multiplayer epic battles and huge battles and full map editors this all seems to be vanishing....i was hopeing for a drastic and huge improvement of Halo by adding never before and innovative ideas. For the guy who has played he said this.....i am not going to post the link but head over to CVG website there's a article about this recent buzz on the internet.. he said the Overall gameplay was about the same as the other Halos...to read how he described the level go to CVG website, it seems the same layout of traditional Halo games.
This all seems the Halo we all know, nothing new here...just some new weapons. I really hope now Bungie come and say its fake, but i really doubt it.
I have been happy with every iteration of the Halo series, and I've always felt they sufficiently added enough new features and tweaks to consider them sequels. In fact, I think the Halo series has done more innovations per iteration than any other FPS/TPS series. Call of Duty MW2 is essentially the same as CoD, with a new setting and multiplayer unlocks. Gears of War 2 added like 2 guns and horde mode. Uncharted 2 changed nothing at all about the campaign, just added a new story, but they did add a multiplayer mode. You see where this is going.
Halo has added close to 10 weapons, vehicle jacking, vehicle damage, removed fall damage, added dual weilding, 4 player online co-op, new vehicles, melee weapons with lock-on, homing rockets, detachable turrets, firefight, forge, matchmaking itself was pretty much invented by bungie, the open-world campaign concept in ODST, equipment, and more.
That said, they're not going to throw the baby out with the bath water. Halo: Reach will use a new engine, but it will still look and feel like Halo. Rest assured, they will definitely add new and innovative features to spice it up, just like they always have; But with it being their last outing, they're not going to risk RADICALLY changing up the formula and upsetting their fans.
