There is nothing wrong with Halo:Reach. We all just have our gripes about everything we don't like. Not liking something doesn't make it broken.

No. Because it wouldn't work.

Ugh...

First on a BWU.. yeah, I'm cool.

ODST;MYTHIC Screenshot winner! One of the first to get their hands on the mythic map pack.

I would like customizable AI in certain maps, that would be cool! But sadly I don't think this will happen. But I am hoping for an innovation, massive improvement to forge :)

how couldnt it?

A combination of environment, location, movement between point A to Point B, Weapon layout for the AI, ect.

It's just not possible.

it doese'nt look nextgen , looks good but not nextgen
If by next-gen you mean crappy, dark and colorless, I agree. It doesnt look next-gen at all.

I would rather have them add AI controlled objects in forge (doors that open and close when you get near, and other things like that) instead of Bots (which suck, look at the ones in Gears).

Do you understand the programming in making and Enemy attack?

Or walk even?

I imagine not. So it wouldn't work, not unless suddenly we all knew everything the Bungie employees in charge of that stuff knew.

They stated a long time ago that that kind of things didn't exist because it was impossible. So it doesn't matter why, they said it wouldn't happen.

Once Bungie says no it wont happen, why fails to matter. Accept it, even if it is with a gain of salt and move on.

This. Automatic doors and door you manually open with switch you can place would be absolutely AWESOME more all types of maps.

Hai it's me voiceruler. I like custom games a lot more than matchmaking, and the best type of custom game is infection, and i <3 campaign.

look at forge. a menu-type set-up was used to create objects. you could move, delete, and create using only your controller. programming was used for that, but all you have to do was press a button. it could work. it would take time and maybe a readthrough of the manual, but you could do it.

>_> Am I the only one who voted for option 3? D: lol. IT would be cool, but I just don't see it happening.

No, you couldn't. Bungie themselves, in a Weekly update months ago, mentioned it was a complete impossibility due to the way the AI works and the way Multiplayer works in things like Forge, Customs and MM.

You can't do it. That just has to be good enough, as even I do not necessarily understand what they meant.

From what I understand, Campaign and Multiplayer work on two different base systems that make it all work. The AI can't operate properly in the system Multiplayer runs on.

Even if it was possible to make it work with the menu, the AI wouldn't function.

could you get a link for me?

and you do realize that they were referring to halo 3, right? There is a possibility of using a new engine for Reach so that AI is possible in forge...

  • 11.06.2009 1:56 PM PDT

Does no one remember that even games like 007: Nightfire for the GAMECUBE had multiplayer AI? And you are going to try to convince me that it's not possible.

poop

it would be kinda hard to programm, but with the new game engine, it might be possible.

  • 11.06.2009 2:01 PM PDT

But there's no sense crying over every mistake.
You just keep on trying till you run out of cake.
And the Science gets done.
And you make a neat gun.
For the people who are still alive.

It would be cool, but I'm pretty sure bungie stated it was impossible to make.
