Just so you know you are indeed confuesed. The br in Halo2 was what is called hit scan. That means that there was was not a "physical" bullet going from point A(your gun) to point B(your buddies head). Instead, all of the "bullets" spawned on the next in reticule solid object(provided if was within the maximum range.

The BR's random spread makes the game more about who is luckier rather than who has the better shot. This makes the game play much slower than Halo 1 and 2
