Because Muslims surgically implant organic bombs in their testicles, which in turn will be injected into women during sex, which will grow into BABY BOMBS!

To the people arguing over whether Halo Wars is canon or not:

I believe private caboose was the one who said this on another thread but it went along the lines of...

Joseph Stanten said that Halo Wars is not canon, Frankie said Halo Wars is Canon, Joseph said that they have to review a lot of different things not made by Bungie to decide if they are canon and Halo Wars is one of those neutral things that aren't exactly canon but aren't exactly noncanon.

So it's hard to tell what is and what isn't and arguing this won't make anything true or untrue until someone decides for sure.

Wasn't that ILoveBees? Oh, wait, it was!

Yup. I consider ILB totally non canon. It's has such a stupid story.

Halo Wars is canon though :)

Well those pictures where leaked and whoever posted them is not enjoying his stay at Banada, but people say those are Beta Beta ( That was on purpose) pictures but dont get your hopes up. Because the Spartan lazer was made in 2560-2575, and Reach is before 2552.

Umm...WHAT?

How could the Spartan Laser be invented AFTER Halo 3? Do explain, sir.

My thoughts exactly. Sir, if you would be so kind as to explain to me how Sgt. Johnson and Master Chief can use the Spartan Laser in late 2552-early 2553 when it was supposedly not invented for another 7-8 years?

*huff* if you read the books, there is no mention of spartan lazer, and anyways Halo REACH is a PREQUAL to Halo 1. And where there any Lazers in Halo 1? not unless you modded, there non existent before halo 1.
So? There werent any SMG's in Halo 1, but look at HW. It has them.

Once again, my friend, you are wrong. Lasers are used by Spartans during the events of Halo Wars. It WAS existent, just not used by the Master Chief much before Halo 3.

Nah man, Halo Wars wasn't canon. There were flood in Halo Wars too, yet they were first discovered in Halo: CE.

Ah, but there was another back door thrown in there as well as the Spirit of Fire was never found along with all the data they collected on the Flood.

Halo 3 takes place in 2553. The Spartan Laser was around in 2530, and the Final Battle of Reach [obviously a focal point of Halo: Reach] takes place about a week prior to the discovery of Installation 04. [Halo: Combat Evolved's opening sequence], which is in 2552.

The Spartan Laser can canoncially be in Halo: Reach.

Levels of canon go newest games > older games > books > other sources.

Halo Wars is confirmed canon, the only non canon parts of Halo Wars are things modified for gameplay purposes, like shielding on the Mark IV.

Just because the Spartan Laser wasn't in Halo: Combat Evolved and the Assault Rifle wasn't in Halo 2 doesn't mean it "dropped out of existence". They still existed, according to the levels of canoncial importance. The reason the MA5B wasn't in Halo 2 was because people complained it was too much like an SMG, hence they cut the MA5B and put in the M7 SMG. In Halo 3 the MA5B was rethought into the more accurate, more "assault rifle like" MA5C Assault Rifle.

What are we supposed to be discussing here?

"Nothing in the 'Verse can stop me."

See the thing with Bungie is when they introduce a new weapon in a game which is in the future of the series they act as if its been around in past games but was never shown i.e why theres Hornets in Cole Protocol and Halo Wars.
