Halo: Master Chief and Friends

My problems [with Reach] are basically just full parties, mlg, and people who go out of their way not to get killed.

This is probably the only thing that would turn me away from the Halo series.

Idk, Halo: Kart would be pretty fun. "Second lap. You splattered Luigi!"

You are right. It does look fun.

  • 11.06.2009 7:43 PM PDT

It's like if the Fanta girls and the the cast of Girls gone Wild participated in a remake of Labyrinth that takes place in a crackhouse version of Willy Wonka's Chocolate Factory where the sugar is cocaine, the candy is crystal meth, and the chocolate is LSD*takes a breath*and the goblin king became the gummy bear king.

Halo: Hunter
When a hunter is born, it eats twelve prophets a day.
But one day, a baby hunter ate THE PROPHET OF TRUTH, the super president of the universe.
Now he's on the run with master chief to activate the halos so they can save the world.
Coming to stores, 2012.
i would buy 5 copies

Shibby

Frank O'Connor, ex-bungie employee and now head of 343 studios, has said they have about a 6 year plan for halo canon right now. And that we will find out where master cheif is and all that. Was an article on kotaku about a month or two ago.

So stuff that happens in the books will be acknowledged and all that...

Anyway, just thought I'd help ya out.

As much as Bungie and some fans wouldn't want it to End after Reach. i think they should stop making any Halo related games, but perhaps help create movies.

With that logic they should stop making Call of Duty games as well. How many do they have? let us count:

Call of Duty
Call of Duty 2
Call of Duty 3
Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare
Call of Duty: World at War
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2
Call of Duty 7
Call of Duty: United Offensive
Call of Duty: Finest Hour
Call of Duty 2: Big Red One
Call of Duty: Roads to Victory
Call of Duty: World at War: Final Fronts
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare: Mobilized
Modern Warfare 2: Ghost

woah, and people are still buying them?

Personally, I wouldn't mind a Halo Wars 2, except you play as the Forerunners and you fight the Flood.

I wanted to be the Flood in Halo Wars. You can imagine my disappointment. And they have the units already made. Get the Flood units, make some Forerunner units, whip up the Sentinels, and BLAM!, a new Halo Wars.

I think a key issue is Flood vehicles and air units. Actually, the lack of them is the issue. Flood swarms are laughable air units. Any solutions for that?

Bungie did toy with a Flood form that would take over vehicles, at least that is what I read on Halopedia. And didn't they manage to drive vehicles in Halo 2? Maybe they could jack them?

Well you've got a team of Spartans just sitting in a micro-dyson sphere on Onyx, Chief floating out in the middle of nowhere and a few surviving Spartan IIIs. I think there's enough loose ends to almost guarantee a few more sequels at least.

Yes, they did, do, and have driven all sorts of vehicles. But to be honest, what would make a Flood controlled Wraith any different from a Covenant controlled one?

The issue is that it looks like lazy development and the fact it really is no different than the faction that originally controlled the vehicle.

Halo Wars indicates that other companies are not necessarily inclined to heed the story bible religiously.

Does it really? I thought that they obsessed over it more than they needed to actually.

I mean, it's not like they really have to invent a story about how the factory that produces a certain vehicle got bombed before the original games so there aren't anymore of said vehicle. It's both ridiculous (they could just build a new factory or retool a few existing ones, the vehicle was probably made in parts at separate locations anyway) and unnecessary. "You just didn't see any before" should be a good enough explanation for all but the most retarded people.

Thankfully that story hasn't been released as canon so it remains just an internal thing, maybe it's in the Halo Bible but it doesn't really matter that much. Much like the date that that dam at the end of Sierra 117 was erected.

I hope it just stops after Reach.

I really, really do.

Agreed. Halo Wars is interesting with large-scale battles and all but it doesn't feel the same as Bungie's Halo. Even though Halo was originally an RTS. More Halo games would be absolutely pointless.

Now that I think about it, couldn't Pure Forms fill the void? May be cutting corners, but you have three forms. Ranged could be suped up to be anti-air, the Tank form could be the tank/light vehicle killer, and Stalker could be the Warthog of sorts. With all the transformations, it would ease the task of several vehicle varieties. But hey, its something.

You killed Johnson!
You bastard!

I would love to play as the forerunners or the flood and see how they started out, experiencing all those events. Halo 3 ODST 2 would be pretty cool too, considering that they have many loose ends to tie up from the pelican flying away at end.

Also, there's one more thing. If you haven't noticed, Halo and CoD have always come out with a game close to each other. Using that concept, I think that as long as CoD games keep coming out, so will halo games.

My dream Halo game, would be a RTS like Halo Wars that will let you lead your troops and then Play as a soldier and get you in the battle in the first person with all the HALO goodness attached.
