I think the Buck-Veronica reprisal is a good question to ask, but not directly for Halo: Reach, even though Buck and Veronica do fit into the canon of Reach.
Remember when Bungie said they wouldn't make any more Halo games after Reach? Kotaku got a backtrack comment from Jarrard who said they may still look into it.
"Bungie Won't Say If Halo: Reach Is The Studio's Last Halo"
This all came up when ODST was in post-development. I think ODST was a game to "test the waters" at an expansion for their existing shooter on the market, and when Buck and Veronica recounted their Reach experiences in ODST, the 'conspiracy' built in me. I can see, in 2012 a "Halo Reach: ODST, with Buck and Veronica, and an old squad of ODSTs fighting along the Spartans we'll likely play as in Halo: Reach, a 'Firefight', and the complete multiplayer experience. So, I'd ask that too.
