By "elements" I mean stuff like the health bars, weapons, gameplay, and mission types. Like the marine rescue mission on Halo (the level), the stealth-type mission on Truth and Reconciliation, and the concept of choosing a path to take like the around the island in Silent Cartographer.

In ODST they removed dual wielding, gave a fast firing pistol, added stealth elements, and gave limited health, some similarites to Halo CE. It might be possible they wanted to hear the fan reactions about those things because they were considering puting them in Reach. (Firefight might be something to watch also)

If you guys can think of anything else let me know.

My problems [with Reach] are basically just full parties, mlg, and people who go out of their way not to get killed.

The depressing and helpless feel that Halo: CE had will likely be in Reach. At least I hope it is...

It's very possible

See you on the forums and in the games.

Well technically for it to be Halo it will incorporate some mutual functions, (weapons, enemies, etc.). As far as health and missions I'm not sure. Also they didn't really remove Dual-wielding in ODST. They did that because ODST's are not strong enough or skilled enough to dual-wield.

You are trapped on a planet. Your orbital armada just got wrecked. The planet is burning around you. Despite your legendary aura of death and invincibillity, your are helpless to save even yourself.

Of course it will have a helpless tone.

They did remove Dual-Wielding from ODST

had they had Dual-Wielding, no one would have questioned it.

Them not being strong enough or skilled enough, was just their reason that they could use it.

sound a lot better than...cuz we wanted to

I know they removed it, but I'm almost sure I read an article over ODST, sorry no source, and they said that because ODST are weaker than Spartans that they can't run as fast, jump as high, or dual-wield. I'm not sure though just something I read.

Not exactly.

In Halo 3 the Flood came to Earth which is the ultimate threat. I didn't feel helpless at all.

Yeah, they could have done a better job with that. Like kill of a major character they introduced earlier in the game by floodifiying him and forcing you to kill him or something.

That would be sick. they need to do something epic with the storyline on this one.

Also, since the Mark V armor in Halo CE had to be helped with Health Packs, I'm sure it will still only be as advanced as the mark V. Mark VI wasn't out yet, so invincibility hasn't technically been thought of yet :P

I think I know what your talking about, I can't remember the article either, one of the main reasons was they was because Paul Bertone (3rd ViDoc, I think) said he hates dual-wielding, ODSTs being weak is probably just a cover story, but it makes sense.

Halo is no longer under Bungie's care. Discuss that here.

I'm usually considered as "that one idiot that actually liked Sonic '06".

Health packs and ladders please. :)

Halo Fact: Mk VI has biofoam injectors, and Mk IV didn't even have shields. To make any sense, we'll probably see Mk V just because it's right after the spartans got it. (Unless the game is going to go back a little further, then we might see Mk IV)

That would be sick. they need to do something epic with the storyline on this one.

I would think that since the Covenant pretty much obliterate every human world they come across, that the story would feel like all hell is raining down, or something like that.

*spoilers*

In ODST, buck was getting angry and yelling that once the Covies destroy Mombasa that they'll glass the whole Earth, just like Reach. Then dare says he made it through the battle there. So Reach sounds like it was pretty much wiped out.

Its a trap!!!

Ok I am upset at ODST. Not strong enough my butt.

They could rip a turret off and use it- for gameplay cool but in terms of what they should be able to do...no.

Plus they seemed to have no problem walking around in one.

Secondly miranda keys can dual weild a pistol and a shotgun. Take that Rookie.

I cant see an odst properly dual weild a smg for recoil purposes but maybe plasma rifles, spikers, plasma pistol

so the bottom line was gameplay. They realized equip made the game easy so to make it harder only the brutes could use it. And to give the weaker odsts some advantage they gave them visor mode instead.

I wouldn't want the CE feeling. Not again think about it...Bungie tried to do that with H3 by bringing back the AR and Pistol and I didn't feel at home. They also did with ODST but I feel that ODST is a better feel of gameplay the HALO:CE.

IMO

Yeah, I don't know what it was (Maybe the catchy night song) but I ceartinly wouldn't mind HR was like ODST.

True, they could use turrets easily, someone should tell Paul that!

If they could make everybody happy, it would take a miracle. I'd like to see something different (kind of like ODST), but also have the best features of the series. I think ODST has better gameplay too, but I think they just have better tech and capability these days. Also IMO
