From a post I read on 11/3/2009 I became aware (of reminded) of the color theme of the menues of some of the Halo games - Blue. This got me thinking about the teaser trailer and the Reach forum banner. At the end of the trailer there is a flash of red light from the sun that serves the plannet as the "camera" pans around and then remains in the background as a glowing warm red light.

Not to make the subject sound missleading but I have a second major color in mind, Gold. I was going to post "Gold could be the new blue.", untill I re-watched the trailer. My reason is because the Reach banner with the much debated figures with a gold backdrop.

I think the next theme will be color near the red spectrum. Colors that signify color of the heat from the partial glassing of Reach and the plasma used in the battle in the sky.

Does this sound plasable?

Personally, I think an actual "skilled" person in Halo 3 is someone who knows how to win with every weapon and combo in the game, not just a single weapon like the BR, Sniper, or even the AR. Of course, that excludes me, as I have yet to get a kill with dual plasma pistols. :D

Would this mean a red HUD?

Actually this does sound plausible (to further support this: ODST mainly takes place at night, and has a black menu).

Very little fails to meet the prerequisites for "plausible" in this forum. We know next to nothing about Halo: Reach, so anything is game.

It sounds plausible. Might be nice. Like how ODST is a black aesthetic. Colour-coding to distinguish them might be best. Really, a neat thing would be if Bungie changed up the aesthetic entirely. But I have yet to see them make drastic changes to their aesthetic between games.

I can see that

more warm colors in exchange of cooler colors

warm meaning (reds, oranges, yellows)
cool meaning (Blues, Purples, Greens)

But if the *Hmhpgmhpmg* are any indication I don't think it's leaning toward that direction.

The Black in the ODST menu and it's dark theme was part of my reasoning.

With no evedence for support I figured plausable was the best decriptor.

And to answer another question about the HUD color - I didn't think of that, though I doubted it would at first thought I think it could if you played as another Spartan. Although the ODST's all had the same color so unless they mix it up some I'd think we would see a standard HUD for all.

ISU Cyclones!

In the case that this comes true I shall echo the words of a not-so-wise Sergeant...

"Suck it Blue!"

Ahh haa haa.

I hope rooster teeth makes a Cameo in Reach also.

Dark lightish red and gold might be theme colors for Reach as Red vs Blue might say it.

I told you not to touch anything you touched everything
