I agree ODST was terrible and boring for a halo game.

I think the OP doesn't know that ODST wasn't supposed to be a completly new Halo game in the first place.

im one second from taking this to the next level.

You're asking if I feel betrayed by one of the few consistently good developer teams who actually listen to what we have to say, spoil us with contests, free maps, constant integrated support, double exp and quite possibly the largest array of multiplayer options in one game ever? Yeah, no. I think Bungie's doing a damn good job.

How? You need the mythic disk with midship to play MLG now. The only way to get that is to buy ODST. Why cant it be a content download like every other map pack has been?

I don't know when Mythic Map Pack 2 will be released on Marketplace OP, ask Microsoft!

ODST isnt terrible, its good. Fair enough it should of been a $40 game, but I like it. Bungie arn't stupid, they know they will lose alot of players when MW2 comes out, but they will get them back with Reach.

They don't plan to. Trust me.

Idiots and group invites.
What's even worse, is that I can never seem to get away from either of them ¬_¬

ODST is a good game. You're just:
A) Unlucky enough to have any friends who play
B) Can;t stand the idea of playing on a game solo.

I don't feel at all ripped off. In fact I feel like I've been given a great deal. Not only do I get ODST, I get what is essentially another copy of Halo 3, some new maps and on top of that a Beta for a new game.

And actually, think about it this way; Crackdown carried the Halo 3 Beta, yet everyone seemed okay with that, despite the fact that Crackdown was probably more expensive then that ODST is now. I'm sorry, but you really haven't got a great argument.

But what does that mean? Bungie knew the game would suck and sold it for $60??

The fact that bungie didn't put that much work into it doesn't justify the fact that it cost $60. Infact it does the opposite. So saying "Bungie wasn't really trying because it was not a completely new halo game" does absolutely nothing to prove your point.

Thats because Bungie is greedy. THats why this world is a mess. People and companies only care about there self. This is why Im very upest with Bungie. I think the only way they could make it up to me would be give me Reach for free. With all the money I have wasted with map downloads, and to buy all the maps again with the ODST crappy add-on game to continue to play halo 3 took the cake for me.

Crackdown cost $60, I have no clue what your talking about. And besides that crackdown was an amazing game and it came with the beta.

I am happy bungie is giving us another beta though.

Firstly, Bungie are not a charity. Nobody gives away something for nothing. They are a company with several members of staff who expect a paycheck just as well as you were to after producing work. To answer your question in short- Team Slayer has also been made available to everybody, because Bungie LISTENED to the players.

Secondly, the Reach Beta is a BONUS. What stops you from renting the game to play the new Beta. Surely you can afford to set a few dollars/pounds aside to playtest the game if it really means that much to you.

They gave us Cold Storage for free, and some themes and gamerpics most companies don't even bother with, but for some reason I see people digging on the negative. Also to add to some points ODST is a full game, not an expansion, yes it uses the same engine, but it is a separate standalone story with a fresh set of achievements and bonus content. You are not paying full price realistically speaking, the game includes exclusive maps (technically free), a rare set of armour which everybody complains about nontheless, and also a fresh Halo 3 matchmaking CD that resolves all the "disc loading" problems people have also been complaining about. Nothing in life comes for free.

Easy Solution to all your problems? Christmas is around the corner. Ask for it.

Actually, I've noticed ODST is going down pretty quickly. Sure, they might be second hand copies, but in the end, it's getting cheap quickly. And I agree, Crackdown was a good game. Just like ODST is.

You hit the nail on the head Sh0rt Bu5 69. I cant believe what Bungie has done to the halo fans. MW2 here I come and im not buying Reach because of what BUngie has done with ODST and halo 3. Im not buying a new $60 dollar game to continue to play a 3 year old game. Screw that. Bye Bungie. Its been fun though Halo 1,2, and 3 but you sir, will not have my money for Halo S>T>D!!

Reach is out soon. I assume if you had fun with the first few games, you'll also be buying Reach. :) See you there! For those complaining about money being an issue, I had to trade in 6 of my favourite games to be able to come close to affording ODST..Why? Because I'm a real fan.

You're an idiot. If you're going to be so biased in saying that ODST is a ripoff even though it is not a full game, AND say that you will not buy Bungie's last Halo game EVER, you are not a true fan. Get off of these forums if you don't like them.

Umm, Im not 12 years old. Even if I was I wouldn't ask for a half A$$ game for Christmas. I would be asking for MW2. I have never bought any call of duty games before. But now that Halo is done for me I will move on to MW2. Im going to rent it first and if I like it, I will not be returning to halo.

First off ODST is terrible. They give us a half a$$$ game that you cant even find a match in cuz none of my friends play it. There is no searching for a match. Now you must buy the game to continue to play the only decent matching left in halo 3. Why cant they give the beta for free like every other company out there? Oh Reach beta will sell ODST just like Bungie said. Thats bull. I cant believe Bungie is doing this. How much more will we take from bungie? In this recession we are in, why must they do this? I have loved bungie up to this point. I thought bungie cared about there fans. Guess not. Now we cant get any info on reach and its been almost a year since Bungie announced the game. When MW2 comes out, Bungie is up the creek because how baldy they have ripped off the fan base. Does anyone else feel like I do? Please I would love to hear from others.

Where's the ''ODST was great! I hope they make a sequel'' option ya douche !
