Wheres the option for "I'm happy with Bungie, loved ODST and got every penny out of it?"

  • 11.07.2009 8:29 AM PDT

*Bobfather17*

Anybody who bought ODST and was dissatisfied does not know how to make a rational buying decision.

Easy Solution to all your problems? Christmas is around the corner. Ask for it.

Umm, Im not 12 years old. Even if I was I wouldn't ask for a half A$$ game for Christmas. I would be asking for MW2. I have never bought any call of duty games before. But now that Halo is done for me I will move on to MW2. Im going to rent it first and if I like it, I will not be returning to halo.

Why tell us? What, do you think we'll be on our knees, saying, "PLEASE DON'T GO!!! WHY!? WHY!?!?"

No.

If you don't like Halo, then you don't like Halo. Wasting space on Bungie will not do anything either. It will not change anyone's mind on their views on ODST.

Plus, Bungie needs money, just like any other company. No money, no games. Don't like it, too bad. That's the way it's gonna be for as long as video games will be made.

firstly,to say ODST was rubbish and not worth the money is quite a bold statement that only a very few would agree with.

while I thought it could have been better in some respects (I wont go into too much detail) I do believe it was worth what I paid.

secondly, I doubt bungie would leave people hanging in the way that you say with people being unable to play all the good playlists. I'm pretty sure that they will eventually release the map pack and if not, then it is probably not in there hands
(probably in microsofts hands but I don't know, i haven't looked into it much)

bungie relies heavily on community opinion and to say that they "betrayed" us is quite an overreaction. if you didn't like ODST then thats bad luck and you'll have to wait for the maps to come out or settle for what you have.

besides, I have loads of friends who don't even have legendary and they seem to enjoy playing on the non dlc playlists.

My gun goes PewPewPew!

TC, do you understand the meaning of the word Publisher? Microsoft is the publisher for the Halo series, they set the prices and the release dates, not Bungie.

Also, Bungie said Halo 3 was the last game in that story trilogy, meaning the last game involving MC and ending the war. ODST was about a new character, Reach is set at the begginning of the war. They are different story arcs.

About me: I am a vicious wolf of a man.

But really am sweet at heart. =)

Oh for Stosh's sake. Leave it alone, ODST is awesome, just because you probably failed at getting Endure doesn't mean you have to cry about it and say ODST was a ripoff. ODST was my second favorite campaign next to Halo CE's

Also this is the wrong forum to cry in, try the ODST forum

I'm saying this now, if you want a rip off, how about buying vanilla fallout 3 and then paying for all the patches, so what if ODST is priced at a full game, i've spent nearly 3 times that amount on fallout 3, which is an awesome game, but annoyingly GOTY is the same price as vanilla, so don't complain about prices of Bungie games because you really cannot talk

  • 11.07.2009 8:39 AM PDT

Viva La Revolution!
Social Infection ftw

Don't blame Bungie. Blame Microsoft. Bungie would've made the map packs cheaper and ODST maybe $35 if they were in charge.

When will bungie do step six: The bloody coup. They must overthrow microsoft.

Am I the only one who realized how many promotions stores were doing for ODST?

I got it for $40. Day 1.

Sucks to be You. I enjoyed the game. If you feel so ripped off, go get MW2

ODLC was a total rip-off.

It was worth 30$. Nothing more.

That's why I didn't buy it, I'm surprised so many people fell for it. I've loved the Halo series, but I know when companies start to get greedy, the best course of action is to cast your vote and say "not for me."

"I'm afraid of the man I'll become if I lay my life down for the people I don't even care for"

Its not Bungie's choice of price....

Its the Micro$oft douches!

  • 11.07.2009 9:34 AM PDT

Okay, whine some more about a pretty good game for the short time it was made in. I honestly found ODST to be fun, and with firefight a challenge. My friends hold the exact same viewpoint.

Halo 3 was the last game in that trilogy, halo: reach is (As I have read) the last halo game for xbox 360.

In this recession we are in, why must they do this?

Thats right! Those damn corporations trying to make money and stay in buisness and scrape by and refusing to lower their prices and going out of buisness...

I don't know if it was pure greed. The original game was just a campaign and a map pack at $40, but Bungie had to retract the price off the website because Microsoft didn't agree. I was on the website that day. They literally said the game was going to be $40. The next day they completely retracted the pricing and information, and said Microsoft hadn't agreed on a set price yet.

You're asking if I feel betrayed by one of the few consistently good developer teams who actually listen to what we have to say, spoil us with contests, free maps, constant integrated support, double exp and quite possibly the largest array of multiplayer options in one game ever? Yeah, no. I think Bungie's doing a damn good job.

TOTALLY agree with this guy

Personally i thought ODST was great. I loved the free roam campaign. I admit i wish theyd made a matchmaking for firefight but i dont mind that too much. Also ODST was a side project, unlike reach. So i think we probably wont have much info for a while.
I kinda agree with the beta thing though, it is kind of annoying they make the beta only for ODST buyers. But as i said i love the game so i would have bought it anyway.
