I was curious, since I liked them more than Phantoms and It would fit the time scale.

Don't base whether or not you buy a game on its graphics. Gameplay and how fun it is are what matter most. Not the textures of the grass that you will never need to look at!

I voted yes, just because the fleet that attacked Reach was supposed to be the same fleet that chased Master Chief and the Pillar of Autumn to the Halo. They were mainly using Spirits, so I would imagine that the Spirit will make at least some appearance in Halo: Reach.

...And when i am standing there, watching as the slingshot is cranked back into the shadows, a smile will bestow upon my face as I softly whisper one word..."blam...."

the phantoms look so much more intimidating though.

Use both?

it would be too overwhelming. just like having brutes AND elites at the same time...

Well as the Covenant are attacking Reach, a major UNSC shipyard I think that "overwhelming" is their goal.

Grunts FTW! -

It would make more sense to use spirits. I liked spirits i could throw plasmas into them lol. I think you should change ur question 2 - Should Bungie Use Spirits In Halo Reach? -Spartans Vs. Brutes n Elites Would Be OWNAGE! to the spartans lol

well there was a period when the covenant used both the spirit and the Phantom(wouldnt waste aircraft).later they used only the phantoms.so they can both make an appearance

For every action, there is an equal and opposite airstrike.

Very true. The Phantom shows up during Babysitter, during a time where Spirits would be the core dropship class (assuming Babysitter and Halo Wars are around the same time (reinforced by MkIV armour)). Again, looking at Babysitter, I guess early Phantoms were used for VIPs and special ops, due to the improvements in comfort, combat ability and troop deployment.

NO GROUP INVITES!!!

Both Phantoms and Spirits are very beatifully desinged dropships... Personally i'd love to see 'em both, if only one, then Sprit as Phantom as made more appereances.

Original reason for Phantom in Halo2 was that players could get a lift off a map in Halo CE, right? Yet they made Phantoms somewhat similar Spirits in Halo3... So Spirit's desing is not a big problem. Besides, Spirit could always have a Gravity Lift added to it, as it had one in Halo Wars (a sensible addition, it's not wise to open a whole compartment to vacuum if there's a space ops right?)

Oh and can we get HaloCE Shade turrets back? All the replacements have sucked...
