I thought of an interesting weapon the other day and i called it the Brute Shredder. It looks similar to a spiker but is longer in size and the 2 blades at the muzzel are replaced with one single blade under the handle. It would have an instant kill and you would reload after every shot. Also you would have to lead your shot. 2X scope. What do you think?

_______
When you hit your target with the giant spike, you will pin them to whatever they hit whether that be a wall, the ground/floor, a vehicle, or whatever. The weapon could also have enough impact to knock a vehicle off course a slight bit.

I don't know, we already have the beam rifle and UNSC sniper rifle so I don't think we need anymore. Besides I think Brutes are way too bloodthirsty and savage to be competent snipers

No. Plus, the Brutes weren't at Reach.

The brutes will more than likely be in reach, no matter what the books or previous games suggest.

Get out of my signature.

Sure, I would like a third sniper.

Read my form if you don't think brutes are in Reach. For a second opinion.

Im not even going to click your link because it's clearly stated the brutes weren't given combat roles until November 2552. Reach takes place in august.

Um, what are you talking about? Halo CE, Halo 2, and Halo 3 were never a book to begin with, number 1. Halo ODST takes place between Halo 2 and 3. It doesn't have a book either. But regardless, the story is always based of the books.

The books take place before Halo CE. This game is based of the book, The Fall of Reach. Bungie always goes by the books, regardless. For example, at the beginning of Halo CE, the Pillar of Autumn is escaping Reach in a slipspace jump and the Covenant track the ship to where they went, which happened to be near a Halo ring. that is what happened after The Fall of Reach.

I know they follow the main story line, what i mean is they can still do what they wish with the game regardless of what anybody wrote about it. and im done arguing with you so we will just leave it at that.

  • 11.07.2009 9:38 AM PDT

No, with the Elites around I think the Brutes should be mostly a CQC enemy if they return.

Sucks to be you, I can still post here buddy. Bungie isn't going to change their own story, bub. You don't know how Bungie works at all, do you?

"Oh reach was taken over by....brutes? WTF!?"

Almost a ghost.

Brutes wouldn't suit a sniper at all.

They're more "Let's run head first with no armour".

I'd love to be a 10 year old and tell my mom I'm going on an adventure out into the world catching Pokemon, with her full support. Never mind the fact that there are rapists, criminals, and murders out there, or the fact that I may get killed by a Pokemon.

Luckily I have Pikachu.

Brutes shouldn't even be in this game.

The story from Halo CE to the end of Halo 3 doesn't even take up a year, nothing big changed in UNSC or Covenant technology in that time frame. Everything that was in Halo 3 was around during Halo CE just not added to the canon at the time of Halo CE's release. Stop acting like your a Halo expert because you're wrong. There can be new things added to Reach and things exclusive to Halo 3 without screwing up the canon.

Hence the previous CQC suggestion. Nice job on that, btw. Anyways, I'm more than expecting Elites to return, I mean, it was Elites who fought at the Battle of Reach, and they're a much more strategic, combative opponent than Brutes...

  • 11.07.2009 9:45 AM PDT

i think that that sniper sounds balanced'its like the missile pod only slower and more quiet.
brutes are brutes elites are warriors

Halo: Reach is not based off The Fall of Reach, but it will be about the battle, and eventual fall of Reach.

Ah I missed that sorry. I was distracted by the mini-argument it was in the middle of, lol.

It doesn't exactly match up with the caste of the brute race.

They are close quarter combat loving meat shields. They do best up close. You can almost imagine a brute laughing and saying "Let the cowardly jackals run away and shoot from a far, real warriors pimp slap their opponents silly up close!"

It would be very odd.
