Changes like increased range for AR, automatic shotgun, lock on rockets, get rid of missle pod, etc. This isn't realy an idea topic. It's discussing what we have, what should be gotten rid of, and what should be improved.

Mainly I want a longer campaign but the weapons should also be tweaked like AR range BR power and other things.
Campaign comes first though :D

Did you think about it? Maybe the shotgun? It's not just weapon ranges if you agree that may mean other stats need to be changed too. Like maybe give the AR 5 more meters, but less damage.
AR range is fine, Shotgun range is fine, I did think about it, and the weapon ranges are fine as they are.

I don't want to get owned when I have a shotgun at close range because the damage was lowered.


I see what you mean. And you wouldn't get owned at close range if the shotgun was changed. Lowering damage was just an example. It could have the same power at the range it currently has, but just not be completely useless at longer ranges.
I guess if they tightened the spread for both weapons so they would be better at longer range that would be fine, I just don't want damage changed.

Yes, pretty much all weapons need longer ranges, they have downright unrealistic and ineffective ranges in Halo 2/3 (and even Halo: CE). A shotgun should have a range of up to at least 60 metres (and this is 500 years in the future, should be even longer), the SMG should reach longer than 25 metres, same with the pistol, plasma rifle, plasma pistol, assault rifle, battle rifle, carbine, brute shot etc. Real life liquid-based flamethrowers has ranges of up to 100 metres (in contrast to what is displayed in Holywood), and they weigh less than half than the Halo flamethrower, and the Halo flamethrower has a range of 13,7 metres!!111 RAGE

All weapons should have longer ranges and be more accurate!1

1. Some of the smaller weapons can have their range increased so the BR won't constantly counter them.
2. Increase the damage of covenant weapons against flesh
3. Plasma rifle stun has to return
4. I actually like equipment, it adds a new playstyle and utilizes strategy. Plus they can be taken out of custom games if not wanted.
5. GET RID OF DUAL WIELDING!!! This totally f'ed up the PP, PR, Needler(in H2), and pistol.
6. Longer campaign means more depth, and more depth enriches the story, and the story is what makes Halo. Not the multiplayer.
7. Actaully fire fight would be pretty cool in Reach, but make it harder since we're not ODSTs, and are going against Elites

Don't think that longer campaigns = better game. There is no correlation between length of campaign and the quality of the experience (in moderation). Obviously, the extremes will create a bad experience, but if I was given the choice of a longer or shorter campaign, I would choose the option that is a better experience.

Of course, I could always bring in this cliche, quality over quantity.
