really? is this thread trying to be 100% serious now? you get hijacked because you let some one get to close that your fault. you loose the vehicle. tough luck you should not be able to cancel it.

I would like this in the form of alternating timed button presses. For example...

Press RB to board
*presses RB*

The moment right before forced removal
Press RB to push back

Boarder loses balance, and at a random time
Press RB to regain balance

Repeat steps 2 and 3, but make the timing go faster and faster each time until someone loses.

Non Nobis Nascimur - We are not born for ourselves.

That probably wouldn't work due to lag.

Yeah, so the only way is to hit a wall.

They just need to remove that stupid thing where you can't move or look after you've been hijacked. Also, if someone boards the back of a tank, the driver should be able to jump out.

That way the hijacker is stuck on the back of a tank and unable to do anything as the driver beats the crap out of him. Makes complete sense.
No. If the driver jumps out, then the guy on the back jumps out. It's pretty simple.

Look, if I went through all the effort to sneak up behind a tank that can kill me in one hit, I don't want some guy being able to jump out before I can start punching and throwing grenades and fight me in an evenly sided battle over the tank. He was an idiot and let me hijack him. He deserves to die.
It makes absolutely no sense that the driver can't jump out when the guy is on the back. At least when he is on the front it kinda makes sense in the way that the boarder is blocking the driver from getting out.

A lot of things don't make sense in Halo. Mostly for gameplay reasons.

no Thats what you get for being a bad driver/pilot

but they should remove the inability to move at normal speed after being jacked

I think they should make it so there is a split second pause before the jacker has to press B to high jack. Until they do the Driver can do the same to knock them off.

Unless they get on the back of your tank. Then you should be screwed.

Oh, and if I want your tank, I should be able to take it without hurting it.

For every action, there is an equal and opposite airstrike.

Two things, mostly in regard to the tanks, need to be changed.

1) Reverse speed increased and equalised to that of the forward speed. For the Wraith apply this to strafing as well.

2) In the event I notice someone boarded the rear, why am I locked in my seat? Why am I doomed? Why is there no counter like almost every aspect of Halo? I should be able to leave the tank if I get boarded on the rear side. In the event the cockpit is boarded, fair enough, there's something in the way blocking my escape.

What if this is only for passenger viechles, like a warthog and a hornet. If I was on a hornet and some one was hijaking it I would hit them off, so lets give passengers the ability to stop hijacking, this would also promote teamwork.

Why should you be given a chance to defend yourself when you screwed up when performing a risky action like splattering?

Exactly. You already have so many advantages in a vehicle, if you get boarded you've screwed up and the other player deserves to get your ride. You either failed at shooting or splattering, or you went into an area you shouldn't have without enough caution. As it stands, vehicles are pretty dominant on some maps, and if you take away effective boarding, the game would suck.

However, I find that getting stickied can often times be more of a luck based or not as skilled action. Run straight at the person, and if you're going to die, throw a random sticky and hope for a stick. Or throw random stickies and nail someone. I wouldn't mind a way to get out of stickies, say by pressing a random button within a certain window (if "A" pops up on the screen, press that, but you never know what button will pop up). You could also do one based more on rapid movements of a stick or buttons, only allow a release of the sticky if the player who threw it on you has died, etc. I'm not saying this is something I think should be added, just that it makes more sense to me than anti-boarding.

depends, if it was a ghost then no, but if u were getting skyjacked maybe pull you gun out and pop the guy in the face a few times, for anything but aircraft i say no

I liked how in Halo 2, if a person is boarding you,you can get out of the tank, but in Halo 3, if a person is boarding you, youre screwed.

Yes, that was so much better in Halo 2. I don't think you should be able to defend yourself, but I think you should have a split second window to jump out out of the vehicle.
