just like the book

Sorry to get a little off-topic here, but this is a phrase that shouldn't be uttered about any medium crossover. EVER.

I'm not saying that you think Halo:Reach should be a video of the book with some numbskull turning the pages.

What I'm saying is Books are (Normally) Much slower than a video game often with more intro-outrospection than is actually possible to do in a video game without extensive 30 or more minute long asides in which the player either does nothing or watches a cutscene which is the same thing.

For example: The movie Jump or something, it was about a kid who could go anywhere at will and other storys invovling that power. The movie seemed more actiony with each scene seeming spontanieous and flowing and giving a presentable 1 and a half our expeirance.

The Book that the movie was based on the characters spent alot more time brooding, and planning, and talking. Giving a much slower and brain stimulating expeirance. Which took so much time that it shouldn't have been enjoyable for any other medium BESIDES books. But the director writers w/e found a way to tell the story by taking out the slow parts and once again giving the viewers a presentable 1 and a half our expeirance.

All rants aside a Enders Game Video Game would be AWESOME!

Halo: Heretic or Hero---An Elite's Story
Choose your own destiny

FanFicFactor
Forged in the Flames of Passion, go forth and represent!

Well, we don't know if the game will be in any relation to 'Fall of Reach', but, for your synopsis, Reach is one of humanities' last standing base worlds that is attacked and then glassed by the Covenant.

The planet of Reach was also used as a Spartan - Training planet, where Spartans where trained to be super soldiers. Reach also was a planet like earth as in its ecosystem and living circumstances, the perfect planet where the human civilization could continue its evolution.

However when the war between Covenant and Humans became more dense, the whole Covenant fleet attacked the planet of Reach.

Of course all - or almost all the Spartans were killed in action. The Pillar of Autumn managed to escape and moved towards the Halo Ring.

If you play Halo 2, at the first cinematic with the Arbiter, where he gets degraded, you will be able to see the flashback of the pillar of autumn going away from Reach, also all the fleet near the planet.

It wasn't the whole Covenant fleet, it was the fleet of Particular Justice that numbered over 300 ships.

The whole Covenant fleet would be gigantic by that point, although High Charity would be left undefended, which the Covenant would never do.
